Abstract
A novel photonic crystal nano-fishbone is proposed, which confines ultrahigh Q (similar to 1.6x10(7)) transverse magnetic mode with smaller mode volume, device size, surface area, and higher confinement factor than those in photonic crystal nanobeam.
