The purpose of this study is to provide an analysis on internet use, relationship expectations, and social anxiousness for college students through a systematic investigation process. Samples studied in this work were from six various types of universities. A self-designed questionnaire was initially introduced to pre-examine followed by a formal measurement of social anxiousness implemented to collect data. Results from the designated measurement are varied and notable findings are also provided, such as time differentiation consumed on academic internet between male and female users; different habits among schools are also identified. The results also reveal that the longer one spent online each time, the higher the expectation on romantic relationship, and hence the more evident social anxiousness is correlated.
