Interaction of an Infinite Array of Resistive Stripes and the Plane Wave with the Magnetic Field Perpendicular to the Stripes and the Plane of Incidence

Abstract: A normalized inpedance Ẑs is obtained for as array of resistive stripes illuminated obliquely by a plane waves having its magnetic vector normal to the plane of incidence and perpendicular to the stripes.It is found that Ẑs is composed of a partial impedance Ẑs1 similar to the perfectly conducting striped-grid plus another partial impedance Ẑs2 which is account for the effect of the stripe resistance.For the case of interest,s<<λ,wheres is the stripe spacing, it is found that 2 is linearly proportional to the stripe resistance, the aspect ratio and is nearly indepent of frequency in contrast to Ẑs1 which is proportional to s/λ.
