Being educated outside the Bunun community, I started thinking the meaning as a Bunun after marriage. Although I can speak and sing Bunun a little, and I get back to the community very often, I do not know my own culture and community. Through the cultivation of millet with my mother, I began to understand the meaning of being a Bunun woman. Most importantly, the energy and life of Bunnun females and the continuity of Bunun culture are represented through the crop growing of millet.
