Abstract: A single-inductor dual buck-boost output (SIDBBO) converter is proposed to provide compact size and long battery life to portable devices. The proposed adaptive current control mode (ACCM) reduces cross-regulation and power losses since ACCM adaptively controls inductor current for output regulating. Moreover, adaptive body switch (ABS) addresses potential leakage and latch-up, which occur when N-well bias vary with supply voltage. Owing to ACCM and ABS, efficiency achieves 92% and rises from 65% to 88% at heavy and light loads.
