Abstract: | 對晶圓代工廠的客戶來說,電子產品壽命週期愈來愈短是未來發展趨勢。因此,晶圓代工廠若要得到更多的訂單,就必須降低產品週期時間。目前業界常用的生產週期時間績效指標為每層的生產週期時間(Cycle Time per Layer),這種績效指標的優點在於能夠比較工廠的生產週期時間績效,但卻難以了解導致績效差異的成因。
本研究目的在於建立一套降低生產週期時間的管理機制,利用作業導向的方式將生產週期時間作適當的解構,解構後的每一類時間元素皆可歸屬於一類能蒐集與管理的作業活動。舉例來說,這些作業活動類別包括了調整製程參數與當機的修復。
本研究建立模擬程式來比較不同時期下工廠生產週期時間攤在各作業活動時間的分佈,模擬結果顯示,作業導向的方式可以令人清楚的了解各作業活動對生產週期時間的影響。因此,吾人可依此看出各作業活動的績效。 For customers of an IC foundry, the life cycle of electronic products is getting shorter; therefore, IC foundries are forced to reduce their cycle time in order to getting more orders. In industry, IC foundries often use cycle time per layer as a performance index. This index is good in comparing the factory performance in cycle time but is relatively weak or implicit in identifying the cause of the cycle time performance. The purpose of this research is to construct a management mechanism for cycle time reduction. An activity-based method is developed to deploy cycle time into several types of time elements, each type of such time element corresponds to a type of activity which should be monitored and managed. Examples of such activities include process tuning and equipment repairing. A simulation program has been developed and was used to compare the cycle time distribution against each activity in two factories. The simulation results show that the activity-based method could effectively clarify the individual impact of each activity on cycle time; therefore the performance of each activity can be justified. |
