牙科自費麻醉市場之商業模式分析

Abstract

許多人有所謂的牙醫恐懼症，害怕去看牙。除了處置本身令人疼痛，器械產生的高頻噪音更令人不安。這情況在孩童、植牙或特別敏感的病患尤為明顯。以往只能用強迫的方式要求患者配合，但近年來隨著止痛鎮靜技術與儀器的進步，已可藉由標靶控制式輸注幫浦持續給藥，提供患者鎮靜與止痛，使其能舒適地完成牙科處置。目前此麻醉技術已臻至成熟，然而高昂的費用使此麻醉處置並不普遍。此研究在於設立新營利模式，藉由降低麻醉費用，提高普及率以擴大牙科鎮靜舒眠之麻醉市場；同時讓患者無慮的看牙，促進民眾牙齒健康。

Many people have phobia to go to the dentist due to the pain and discomfort during exposure in high-frequency noise from dental machine. This is more common in children, sensitive patients and patients who receive tooth implantation. In the past, the dentists can only ask the parents to force their children to receive the dental treatment. For adult patients, the dentist would ask them to tolerate the discomfort. In recent years, with the improvement of anesthesia and analgesia, dental sedation is much more comfortable through target controlled infusion pump (TCI pump) with diprivan. Despite the anesthetic procedures are already mature, dental sedation is not commonly accepted by general public due to high cost. In this study, we will evaluate whether we can expand the dental sedation market by reducing the cost for anesthesia treatment.
