dc.description.abstractAn x-ray image sensor and an x-ray image sensor system using the same is disclosed. The x-ray image sensor has a back-light unit emitting actinic and non-actinic lights. There is an x-ray-photoconductor-assisted liquid crystal light valve including an x-ray photoconductive unit to absorb x-rays passing through an object to be imaged and create a charge image corresponding to an image of the x-rays and a liquid crystal cell unit to convert the charge image into at least one optical image illuminated by the non-actinic light. The optical image is detected by an optical imager. The optical imager is coupled to a processor converting data of the optical image into picture archiving and communication system (PACS)-compatible format for further storages, distributions, and displays.zh_TW
