Nowadays, display system with user interaction has become increasingly popular in display technology. However, how to recreate more future values of displays is a significant issue at the same time when the display technology gradually becomes mature.
The objective of this sub-project is to propose a visual-based SSVEP BCI interactive system integrated with display technology. The SSVEP BCI system is a communication and connection for users to control external devices or instruments with EEG evoked by visual stimuli. The intuitive operations of SSVEP BCI-based interactive displays is one of the most important advantages, and after combining with the increasingly important field of brain science, an user-friendly interactive system as a meaningful innovation can improve the quality of people’s lives.
This project studies the effects of polychromatic visual stimuli on brain wave potential responses, and then extended to the visual stimulation of static and dynamic images, the development of image processing technology, while solving problems such as image distortion and color separation to maintain the integrity of the image. Therefore, the visual-based brain-computer interactive system will have more flexible application. Moreover, the display industry can be leaded to the level of smarter application, which is an important development of the display industry as well as the SSVEP BCI-based interactive displays.
