Abstract: A novel 60-GHz photonic millimeter-wave signal generation using a frequency quadrupling technique is proposed for the first time. A 312.5-MSym/s 8-QAM millimeter-wave signal at 60 GHz is demonstrated with negligible penalty following 25-km SMF transmission. (C) 2008 Optical Society of America
