An algorithm for technology transfer strategy selection is proposed. The algorithm is based on the concepts of fuzzy set theory and the hierarchical structure analysis. The linguistic variables and fuzzy numbers are used to aggregate the decision makers' subjective assessment about criteria weightings and appropriateness of alternative transfer strategies versus selection criteria to obtain the final scores called fuzzy appropriateness indices. We also propose a revised method for ranking fuzzy numbers with index of optimism which was proposed by Kim and Park. Our revised method is based on the stage of data input for computing the total index of optimism in multi-person decision making problem, instead of giving the index of optimism independently by a decision maker on the stage of information output. This new look at the index of optimism reflects the pooled risk-bearing attitude of multi-judge. The index of optimism is determined by the evaluation data conveyed by the decision makers at the beginning of the data input stage. Finally, we use the revised method to rank the fuzzy appropriateness indices for choosing the best technology transfer strategy.Item type:Item, A MODEL-REFERENCE CONTROL-STRUCTURE USING A FUZZY NEURAL-NETWORK(1995-08-08) ;CHEN, YC ;TENG, CC ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringIn this paper, we present a design method for a model reference control structure using a fuzzy neural network. We study a simple fuzzy-logic based neural network system. Knowledge of rules is explicitly encoded in the weights of the proposed network and inferences are executed efficiently at high rate. Two fuzzy neural networks are utilized in the control structure. One is a controller, called the fuzzy neural network controller (FNNC); the other is an identifier, called the fuzzy neural network identifier (FNNI). Adaptive learning rates for both the FNNC and FNNI are guaranteed to converge by a Lyapunov function. The on-line control ability, robustness, learning ability and interpolation ability of the proposed model reference control structure are confirmed by simulation results.Item type:Item, ADAPTIVE NAVIGATION OF AUTOMATED VEHICLES BY IMAGE-ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES(1986-09-01) ;TSAI, WH ;CHEN, YC ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceItem type:Item, ANISOTROPIC AC-SUSCEPTIBILITY RESPONSE OF A MELT-TEXTURED YBCO SUPERCONDUCTOR(1991-12-01) ;CHEN, YC ;CHEN, K ;HSU, SW ;TSENG, TYLU, SWWe report on low field measurements of the out-of-plane (c-axis parallel-to H) and in-plane (c-axis perpendicular-to H) ac susceptibilities of a melt-textured YBa2Cu3Ox superconductor with high transport J(c). With the field parallel to the ab-plane of the sample, an obvious second peak appears in the imaginary part of chi(ac) at T almost-equal-to 81 K with a width of 2-4 K depending on the ac field amplitude, which may be due to the interlayer weak-links in the melt-textured samples.Item type:Item, FLUX MOTION DEPENDENCE OF RESISTIVE PROPERTIES IN SUPERCONDUCTING YBA2CU3O7-X THIN-FILMS(1992-08-01) ;HAUNG, CJ ;CHEN, YC ;TSENG, TY ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsTwo models of flux motion are employed to study the resistive properties of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x thin films. The thermally activated flux creep model is employed to explain the dissipative behavior in the low resistivity region. However, when the resistivity is raised and approaches the normal state resistivity, the dissipative mechanism is gradually transferred from flux creep to flux flow. Based on the flux flow model, the upper critical field is estimated and shown as a function of temperature. In addition, a parallel resistivity circuit model is proposed to describe the transition behavior of the magnetic field dependence of resistivity versus current density characteristics.Item type:Item, NATURAL-CONVECTION IN AN ENCLOSURE WITH NONUNIFORM WALL TEMPERATURE(1994-11-01) ;FU, WS ;TSENG, CC ;CHEN, YC ;交大名義發表機械工程學系A numerical study of natural convection in an enclosure was investigated. The heated wall of the enclosure is divided into two of the higher and lower temperature regions and the temperature of the cold wall is maintained at a constant. The parameters of Rayleigh number and length ratio are mainly considered. The results show that the local Nusselt number distribution varies drastically at the intersection of the higher and lower temperature regions, and the flow is strongly affected by the above two parameters.Item type:Item, TRANSITION PHENOMENA OF YBA2CU3O7-X THIN-FILMS ON MGO AND SRTIO3 SUBSTRATES(1991-12-01) ;HAUNG, CJ ;CHEN, YC ;TSENG, TY ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsThe superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x thin films were prepared by an in-situ DC sputtering system. The superconducting transition of the films in magnetic fields, applied parallel to the c-axis, was studied experimentally. Arrhenius plots of the resistivity data have shown that the dissipative flux motion of these samples could be explained by the thermally activated mechanism. In addition, we also found that the film on MgO substrate reveals a linear I-V curve, while the film on SrTiO3 substrate shows a nonlinear behavior. The relation between the activation energy and I-V behavior of the films on different substrates is also discussed.
