The angular momentum-angular momentum interaction term (L.L) in the boson Hamiltonian is renormalized by a (1 + fL.L)- 1 factor. It was found that the renormalization facilitates the interaction parameter searching and all boson-boson and boson-fermion interaction parameters for the isotope chain can be unified. Energy levels can be reproduced quite well. The general features in the moment of inertia anomalies can be reproduced. The transition quadrupole moments are calculated and compared with other estimates.Item type:Item, BINDING-ENERGIES AND EXTERNAL-FIELD EFFECTS OF THE A-EXCITON STATES IN CDS(1990-03-26) ;DAI, CM ;PEI, JH ;MEI, WN ;CHUU, DS電子物理學系Item type:Item, BINDING-ENERGY SPECTRA OF ABC-EXCITONS OF CDS(1992-09-01) ;DAI, CM ;CHUU, DS ;電子物理學系Department of ElectrophysicsA novel perturbative variational method was employed to calculate the exciton energy spectra of CdS. The band mixing effects were included by taking into account the detail feature of the valence bands. More extensive charcteristics of the energy spectra of A-, B- and C-excitons were identified. It is found that the binding energy of the ground state of a B-exciton is larger than that of an A-exciton, whilst the binding energy of the 2s state of a B-exciton is slightly lower than that of an A-exciton. Our results are compared with the previous theoretical values using the conventional perturbation method and the available experimental data. Better agreements between our results and the observed values are obtained.Item type:Item, CALCULATION OF ENERGY-SPECTRA IN N = 28 NUCLEI(1979) ;CHUU, DS ;HAN, CS ;WANG, MC ;HSIEH, ST電子物理學系Item type:Item, CALCULATIONS ON NEGATIVE-PARITY STATES IN THE NUCLEI OF A=36-40(1981-01-01) ;HSIEH, ST ;WANG, MC ;CHUU, DS ;電子物理學系Department of ElectrophysicsItem type:Item, COMPOSITION AND CHEMICAL-REACTIONS OF TITANIUM-OXIDE FILMS DEPOSITED BY LASER EVAPORATION(1991-03-15) ;DAI, CM ;SU, CS ;CHUU, DS ;電子物理學系光電工程學系Thin films were deposited on Pyrex glass substrates from Ti and TiO2 targets at room temperature by laser evaporation technique. These films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Auger electron spectroscopy, and depth profile analysis. The films deposited from Ti target are TiC(x) and TiO(y) matrix, while films from TiO2 target are almost stoichiometric in oxygen. The films have a smooth surface morphology under a laser power density of 5 X 10(6) W/cm2, which is close to the critical intensity for evaporation. The interface reaction of these films is strong, and the Ti atoms diffuse into the substrate.Item type:Item, CRITICAL MAGNETIC-FIELD FOR A SYMMETRICAL QUANTUM-WELL OR SINGLE BARRIER(1993) ;WANG, CS ;CHUU, DS ;電子物理學系 ;電控工程研究所Department of ElectrophysicsItem type:Item, DESCRIPTION OF ODD-MASS GD NUCLEI IN THE INTERACTING BOSON-FERMION MODEL(1989-05-22) ;CHUU, DS ;HSIEH, ST ;電子物理學系Department of ElectrophysicsItem type:Item, DESCRIPTION OF THE EVEN TIN ISOTOPES IN A MIXING SHELL-MODEL AND IBA MODEL(1995-04-01) ;CHUU, DS ;HSIEH, ST ;電子物理學系Department of ElectrophysicsThe positive parity energy levels of even Sn-108-124 isotopes are studied in terms of a mixing of shell model and interacting boson approximation model. In the calculation, the basis states consist of a pure boson configuration and N-B-1 bosons plus a fermion pair configuration, where N-B is the valence boson number outside the closed shell. The fermions are allowed to excite to the s(1/2), d(3/2), d(5/2), g(7/2) and h(11/2) single particle orbitals. The interaction Hamiltonian contains three parts: pure boson Hamiltonian, pure fermion Hamiltonian and boson-fermion mixing Hamiltonian. The calculated energy levels are compared with the observed data. The wavefunctions are used to calculate B(E2) values. It is found that the calculated energy spectra and B(E2) values agree reasonably well with the experimental values.Item type:Item, EFFECT OF SURFACE OPTICAL PHONON ON THE SURFACE IMPURITY STATES OF GAAS AND CDS(1990-08-01) ;JIANG, TF ;CHUU, DS ;HAN, CS ;交大名義發表電子物理學系Item type:Item, EFFECTIVE BOSON CALCULATIONS ON SM ISOTOPES(1986-07-01) ;HSIEH, ST ;CHIANG, HC ;YEN, MMK ;CHUU, DS電子物理學系Item type:Item, EFFECTIVE BOSON NUMBER CALCULATIONS NEAR THE Z = 64 SUBSHELL(1990-07-01) ;HAN, CS ;CHUU, DS ;HSIEH, ST ;電子物理學系物理研究所Item type:Item, EFFECTIVE INTERACTION BETWEEN NUCLEONS IN LOWER AND UPPER SD SHELL(1977-01-01) ;HAN, CS ;CHUU, DS ;WANG, MC ;HSIEH, ST電子物理學系Item type:Item, EFFECTIVE INTERACTIONS AND ENERGY-SPECTRA FOR N = 28, 50, AND 82 ISOTONES(1978-01-01) ;CHIANG, HC ;HSIEH, ST ;CHUU, DS ;HAN, CS電子物理學系Item type:Item, EFFECTIVE INTERACTIONS AND ENERGY-SPECTRA FOR N=28-NUCLEI,N=29-NUCLEI AND N=30-NUCLEI(1978) ;CHUU, DS ;HAN, CS ;HSIEH, ST ;CHIANG, HC電子物理學系Item type:Item, EFFECTIVE INTERACTIONS, COULOMB DISPLACEMENTS, AND SEPARATION ENERGIES FOR N = 50 AND N = 28 ISOTONES(1978-01-01) ;HSIEH, ST ;WANG, MC ;CHUU, DS ;HAN, CS電子物理學系
