Item type:Item, Clonal spread of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii across a community hospital and its affiliated long-term care facilities: A cross sectional study(2018-06-01) ;Chen, Chang-Hua ;Kuo, Han-Yueh ;Hsu, Po-Jui ;Chang, Chien-MinChen, Jiann-YuanBackground: The global spread of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is now a public health problem. In Taiwan, the relationship of the CRAB circulation between long-term care facilities (LTCFs) and acute care hospitals remains unclear. Here, we use molecular epidemiologic methods to describe the transmission of CRAB isolates between a community hospital and its affiliated LTCFs. Methods: Subjects localized in eight LTCFs who were not admitted acute care hospitals in recent a year were enrolled in this study. CRAB isolates were collected during June 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. DNA fingerprinting was performed by repetitive extragenic palindromic sequence-based polymerase chain reaction (Rep-PCR) and multilocus sequence typing (MLST). Multiplex-PCR amplification for the detection of bla(OXA) genes and beta-lactamase genes was performed. Results: Twenty one subjects were enrolled. The major hospital admission diagnoses among the 21 subjects were pneumonia (71.4%). Genotyping of CRAB isolates by Rep-PCR revealed that a major clone, designated as type III, comprised fifteen of 21 (71.4%) isolates taken from 5 LTCFs and one study hospital. The isolates with type III were subtyped by PubMLST into 4 ST types. The most prevalent bla(OXA) genes in these isolates were bla(OXA-23)-like (85.70%, 18/21). Twenty isolates carried bla(SHV). Conclusion: Clonal spread of bla(OXA-23)-carrying CRABs was found around LTCFs and the affiliated hospital. In Taiwan, it is important for the government to focus attention on the importance of identifying and tracing CRAB infections in LTCFs. Copyright (C) 2017, Taiwan Society of Microbiology. Each retailer order might be consisted of different products. The resolution of this problem is to determine the production sequence, retailers\' needs to heterogeneous fleet of vehicles and the visiting sequence of each vehicle for delivery goods within time windows. In this article, a nonlinear mathematical model is proposed with minimizing the total cost which includes transportation cost, vehicle arrangement cost and penalty costs, subjected to satisfy all demands of each retailer. Following, two adaptive genetic algorithms (AGAs) are designed and tested in variety of production and delivery scenarios. The computational experiments show that the total cost gradually decreases as the vehicle type employed in the delivery stage increasing. In addition, more kinds of vehicle types provided in the delivery stage could reduce fixed vehicle cost and variable routing cost. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. We propose a nonlinear mathematical model to minimise the time required to complete producing the product, delivering it to retailers and returning to the distribution centre. The optimal schedule and vehicle routes can be determined simultaneously in the model. In addition, two kinds of genetic-algorithm-based heuristics are designed to solve the large-scale problems. The conventional genetic algorithm provides the search with a high transition probability in the beginning of the search and with a low probability toward the end of the search. The adaptive genetic algorithm provides an adaptive operation rate control scheme that changes rate based on the fitness of the parents. The experimental results have shown that the solution quality of these two algorithms is not significant but that the adaptive genetic algorithm can save more time in finding the best parameter values of the genetic algorithm.Item type:Item, Low Thermal Budget Amorphous Indium Tungsten Oxide Nano-Sheet Junctionless Transistors with Near Ideal Subthreshold Swing(2018-01-01) ;Kuo, Po-Yi ;Chang, Chien-Min ;Liu, Po-Tsun ;光電工程學系Department of PhotonicsAmorphous indium tungsten oxide (a-IWO) nano-sheet (NS) junctionless (JL) transistors (a-IWO NS-JLTs) have been successfully fabricated and demonstrated in the category of indium oxide based thin film transistors (TFTs). We have scaled down thickness of a-IWO channel to 4nm. The proposed a-IWO NS-JLTs with low operation voltages exhibit good electrical characteristics: near ideal peak subthreshold swing (S.S.) similar to 63mV/dec., high field-effect mobility (mu(FE)) similar to 25.3 cm(2)/V-s. The novel a-IWO NS-JLTs with low temperature processes are promising candidates for monolithic three-dimensional integrated circuits (3-D ICs), vertical stacked (VS) hybrid CMOS technology, and large-scale integration (LSI) applications in the future.Item type:Item, Nanoflaky MnO2/functionalized carbon nanotubes for supercapacitors: an in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopic investigation(2015-01-01) ;Chang, Han-Wei ;Lu, Ying-Rui ;Chen, Jeng-Lung ;Chen, Chi-LiangLee, Jyh-FuThe surfaces of acid- and amine-functionalized carbon nanotubes (C-CNT and N-CNT) were decorated with MnO2 nanoflakes as supercapacitors by a spontaneous redox reaction. C-CNT was found to have a lower edge plane structure and fewer defect sites than N-CNT. MnO2/C-CNT with a highly developed surface area exhibited favorable electrochemical performance. To determine the atomic/electronic structures of the MnO2/functionalized CNTs (MnO2/C-CNT and MnO/N-CNT) during the charge/discharge process, in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) measurements were made at the Mn K-edge. Both C-CNT and N-CNT are highly conductive. The effect of the scan rate on the capacitance behavior was also examined, revealing that the pi* state of CNT and the size of the tunnels in pseudo-capacitor materials (which facilitate conduction and the transport of electrolyte ions) are critical for the capacitive performance, and their role depends on the scan rate. In the slow charge/discharge process, MnO2/N-CNT has a more symmetrical rectangular cyclic voltammetry (CV) curve. In the fast charge/discharge process, MnO2/C-CNT with a highly developed surface provides fast electronic and ionic channels that support a reversible faradaic redox reaction between MnO2 nanoflakes and the electrolyte, significantly enhancing its capacitive performance over that of MnO2/N-CNT. The MnO2/C-CNT architecture has great potential for supercapacitor applications. The information that was obtained herein helps to elucidate CNT surface modification and the design of the MnO2/functionalized CNT interface with a view for the further development of supercapacitors. This work, and especially the combination of CV with in situ XAS measurements, will be of value to readers with an interest in nanomaterial, nanotechnology and their applications in energy storage.Item type:Item, The Influence of Annealing Temperature on Amorphous Indium-Zinc-Tungsten Oxide Thin-Film Transistors(2018-03-21) ;Fu, Ruofan ;Yang, Jianwen ;Chang, Wei-Chiao ;Chang, Wei-ChengChang, Chien-MinIn this paper, the influence of annealing temperature on amorphous indium-zinc-tungsten-oxide (a-IZWO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) is investigated. As the annealing temperature increases, the IZWO films maintain an amorphous state, which is conducive to the uniformity of the TFT. The field effect mobility of the device increases as a function of annealing temperature and reaches 16.2cm(2)V(-1)s(-1) at 300 degrees C, along with an on/off current ratio of 1.6x10(8). Meanwhile, the corresponding positive bias stability is improved, as confirmed by the fact that the threshold voltage shift value reduces to 0.4V after being stressed for 1500s. This result can be ascribed to the decrease in electrons captured by the deep defects in a-IZWO TFTs.Item type:Item, Two-Dimensional-Like Amorphous Indium Tungsten Oxide Nano-Sheet Junctionless Transistors with Low Operation Voltage(2019-05-20) ;Kuo, Po-Yi ;Chang, Chien-Min ;Liu, I-Han ;Liu, Po-Tsun光電工程學系In this work, we have successfully demonstrated the junctionless (JL) transistors with two-dimensional-like (2D-like) nano-sheet (NS) material, amorphous indium tungsten oxide (a-IWO), as an active channel layer. The influences of the different gate insulator (GI) materials and the scalings of GI thickness, a-IWO channel thickness, and channel lengths on the a-IWO NS JL transistors (a-IWO NS-JLTs) have been studied for the purposes of low operation voltage (gate voltage <= 2V) and high performance. The 2D-like a-IWO NS-JLTs exhibit low operation voltage, low source/drain (S/D) contact resistance (R-c) and other key electrical characteristics, such as high field-effect mobility (mu(FE)), near ideal subthreshold swing (S.S.), and large ON/OFF currents ratio (I-ON/I-OFF) The remarkable device characteristics also make the proposed 2D-like a-IWO NS-JLTs promising for system-on-panel (SoP) and vertically stacked (VS) hybrid CMOS applications.
