Item type:Item, A Network Behavior Analysis System for Cloud Computing Service(2011-03-01) ;Lin, Bon-Yeh ;Chen, Chi-Hua ;Chang, Hsu-Chia ;Lo, Chi-Chun資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所It will be full of distributed network services and a large quantity of data in network environment. It is important to dynamically retrieve the real-time network information when the information is published in network. In the determination of Optimal Cycle for Network Information Retrieval (OCNIR), the network loading and the cost of information retrieval are higher when the retrieval frequency is higher. If the retrieval frequency is too low, the delay time of information is long. For this reasoning, the OCNIR is an important issue. However, the OCNIR for cloud computing service has not been investigated. In this paper, we provide the integration of web service techniques and Network Behavior Analysis Model (NBAM). We implement Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment with Semantic Web (SW) and NBAM to accomplish a Network Behavior Analyis System (NBAS) for cloud computing service. The major contents of this research are follows: (1) the establishment of NBAM, (2) the determination of the optimal cycle for network information retrieval, and (3) the establishment of data transmission and analysis based on SOA. We develop the approach and implement the NBAS for individuals or enterprises to find out NBAM and OCNIR, test this approach in a domain with real-time data alteration, and then evaluate this approach.Item type:Item, An Analytical Framework of a Deployment Strategy for Cloud Computing Services: A Case Study of Academic Websites(2013) ;Chen, Chi-Hua ;Lin, Hui-Fei ;Chang, Hsu-Chia ;Ho, Ping-HsienLo, Chi-ChunCloud computing has become a popular topic for exploration in both academic and industrial research in recent years. In this paper, network behavior is analyzed to assess and compare the costs and risks associated with traditional local servers versus those associated with cloud computing to determine the appropriate deployment strategy. An analytic framework of a deployment strategy that involves two mathematical models and the analytical hierarchy process is proposed to analyze the costs and service level agreements of services involving using traditional local servers and platform as service platforms in the cloud. Two websites are used as test sites to analyze the costs and risks of deploying services in Google App Engine (GAE) (1) the website of Information and Finance of Management (IFM) at the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) and (2) the NCTU website. If the examined websites were deployed in GAE, NCTU would save over 83.34% of the costs associated with using a traditional local server with low risk. Therefore, both the IFM and NCTU websites can be served appropriately in the cloud. Based on this strategy, a suggestion is proposed for managers and professionals.Item type:Item, On the Design and Development of a Novel Real-Time Transaction Price Estimation System(2012) ;Chen, Chi-Hua ;Lin, Szu-Yin ;Chang, Hsu-Chia ;Lo, Chi-Chun資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所In global open economy, transaction price estimation is an important issue in finance under stock price fluctuation. However, the transaction price is depend on the investors' expect price which is difficult to be captured in used and implemented models for transaction price estimation. Therefore, this paper proposes the Transaction Price Estimation Model (TPEM) and designs a novel Real-time Transaction Price Estimation System (RTPES) which adopts the TPEM based on the efficient market hypothesis to estimate the investors' expect price. In experiments, the simulation results show that the average accuracy of TPEM is 99.37%. This approach is feasible for stock investment decision-making.Item type:Item, The Novel Positioning Algorithm Based on Cloud Computing - A Case Study of Intelligent Transportation Systems(2012-11-01) ;Chen, Chi-Hua ;Lin, Bon-Yeh ;Chang, Hsu-Chia ;Lo, Chi-Chun資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所In recent year, the development of intelligent transportation system (ITS) has become more and more popular to improve the road safety and traffic efficiency amid the global trend of rapid urbanization and population growth. The traffic information estimations from cellular network data are more immediately, cost-effective, and easy to deploy and maintain than traditional methods. Therefore, we propose a novel speed estimation method based on fingerprint positioning algorithm (FPA). In experiments, we compare the estimated positioning information and speed information with the real information obtained from global position system (GPS) receiver. The results show that the average error of location determination by using FPA is 36.11 meters. For speed estimation, the average error ratio of speed estimation by using FPA is 3.39%. Finally, we adopt the MapReduce algorithm and propose a modified column-based data model (CDM) scheme to solve the space-wasting and time-wasting problems which are due to the sparse matrices generated by FPA. This approach will be feasible to estimate the overall traffic information for ITS improvement.Item type:Item, Traffic speed estimation based on normal location updates and call arrivals from cellular networks(2013-06-01) ;Chen, Chi-Hua ;Chang, Hsu-Chia ;Su, Chun-Yun ;Lo, Chi-ChunLin, Hui-FeiInformation and communication technologies have improved the quality of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). By estimating from Cellular Floating Vehicle Data (CFVD) is more cost-effective, and easier to acquire than traditional ways. In this paper, this study proposes a novel approach to evaluate the relation of normal location update, call arrivals, traffic flow, and traffic density. Moreover, the traffic speed is estimated by the proposed approach according to CFVD. In the simulation, this study compares the real traffic information with the estimated traffic information by Vehicle Detector (VD). The experiment results show that the accuracy of traffic speed estimation is 92.92%. Therefore, the proposed approach can be used to estimate traffic speed from CFVD for ITS. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V.
