Item type:Item, A fuzzy analysis method for new-product development(2005) ;Lo, CC ;Wang, P ;Chao, KM ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceThis paper reports a new idea-screening method for new product development (NPD) with a group of decision makers having imprecise, inconsistent and uncertain preferences. The traditional NPD analysis method determines the solution using the membership function of the fuzzy set which cannot treat the negative evidence. The advantage of vague sets with the capability of representing negative evidences supports the decision makers with ability of modeling uncertain objects. In this paper, we present a new method for new-product screening in the NPD process by relaxing a number of assumptions so that imprecise, inconsistent and uncertain ratings can be considered In addition, a new similarity measure of vague sets is introduced to proceed with the ratings aggregation for a group of decision makers. From numerical illustrations, the proposed model can outperform conventional fuzzy methods. It is able to provide decision makers (DMs) with consistent information and to model the situation where vague and ill-defined information exist in the decision process.Item type:Item, A moderated fuzzy matchmaking for web services(2005) ;Huang, CL ;Chao, KM ;Lo, CC ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceA number of matchmaking methods have been proposed and used for various applications. However, the issues associated with matchmaking for web services that involve data repository are not well addressed by the existing methods which focus on service capabilities, interface signatures, and so on. This results from that the information and data in repository are not considered for matchmaking. In our previous work, we proposed a juzzy matchmaking framework which exploits fuzzy logic to abstract and classify the underlying data of web services as juzzy terms and rules. As a result, it increases the efficiency of the discovery of web services and allows imprecise or vague terms incorporated in the search. However, the assumption of unified (consensus) value between service providers and consumers for the service is made. In this paper, a fuzzy moderator is introduced in order to provide a tracking mechanism for consumers' feedbacks and moderate their values.Item type:Item, Nanofabrication and the structure-property analyses of phase-change alloy-ended CNTs(2006-02-24) ;Wang, WH ;Chao, KM ;Teng, IJ ;Kuo, CT材料科學與工程學系In order to cap the tip cavities of the open-ended carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with the phase-change alloy for potential applications as the nano-resolution storage media, the Co-assisted CNTs were first synthesized by electron cyclotron resonance chemical vapor deposition (ECR-CVD) with H-2 and CH4 as the gas sources. Then, the as-grown CNTs were post-treated in H-plasma atmosphere to remove the carbon layers covered on catalysts, and subsequently immersed in HNO3 solution to remove the catalysts from the tips. The open-ended CNTs with a bowl-like-shape tips were followed by coating with a phase-change alloy layer of GeSbTeSn via sputtering process, and then heat treated in vacuum for 30 min to trim the alloy off from the sidewalls of CNTs to obtain the alloy-ended CNTs. The structures and properties in each processing step were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The experimental results show that the well-oriented phase-change alloy-ended CNTs over a large area are fabricated successfully. Furthermore, the Auger analyses show the compositions of the phase-change alloys may be changed from Te-rich to Ge-rich after being capped on the tips of CNTs. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. Web services discovery is a key to dynamically locating desired web services across the Internet. Prevailing research trend is to dynamically discover and compose web services in order to develop composite services that provide enhanced functionality. Existing discovery techniques do not take into account the diverse preferences and expectations of service consumers and providers which are generally used for searching or advertising web services. This paper presents a moderated fuzzy web service discovery approach to model subjective and fuzzy opinions, and to assist service consumers and providers in reaching a consensus. The method achieves a common consensus on the distinct opinions and expectations of service consumers and providers. This process is iterative such that further fuzzy opinions and preferences can be added to improve the precision of web service discovery. The proposed method is implemented as a prototype system and is tested through various experiments. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. (C) 2006 Elsevier B.V. In this paper, we present a new method for consensus measure in the risk assessment process by relaxing many assumptions on existing hesitation situations. A new similarity measure of vague sets is introduced A fuzzy synthetic evaluation method is employed to attain the consensus interval of the group via the agreement matrix for Group Decision Making (GDM) problems. The proposed solution algorithm is presented and two consensus policies are given to consensus analysis of risk assessment guided by BS7799. The proposed method improves the soft consensus method proposed by Kacprzyk and Fedrizzi and analyzes the variation trend of group consensus using similarity measures of vague sets and consensus index. From numerical illustrations, the usefulness and efficiency of the proposed method has shown, particularly in a situation with vague and ill-defined data.
