Item type:Item, ESD protection design for 900-MHz RF receiver with 8-kV HBM ESD robustness(2002-01-01) ;Ker, MD ;Lo, WY ;Lee, CM ;Chen, CPKao, HSThis paper presents a state-of-art ESD protection design for RF circuit with a human-body-model (HBAP ESD robustness of 8kV. By including a turn-on efficient power-rails clamp circuit into the RF circuit, the ESD clamp devices of the RF input pin are operated in the forward-biased conduction, rather than the traditional junction breakdown condition Therefore, the dimension of ESD devices for the RF input pin can be further downsized to reduce the input capacitance loading for the RF signal This design has been successfully applied in a 900-MHz RF receiver and fabricated in 0.25-mum CMOS process with a thick top metal layer. The experimental results have confirmed that its ESD robustness is as high as >8kV under the HBM ESD test.Item type:Item, ESD protection design for 900-MHz RF receiver with 8-kV HBM ESD robustness(2002) ;Ker, MD ;Lo, WY ;Lee, CM ;Chen, CPKao, HSThis paper presents a state-of-art ESD protection design for RF circuit with a human-body-model (HBM) ESD robustness of ME By including a turn-on efficient power-rails clamp circuit into the RF circuit, the ESD clamp devices of the RF input pin are operated in the forward-biased conduction, rather than the traditional junction breakdown condition. A new 10.7-MHz IF section that contains a limiting amplifier and a frequency modulated/frequency-shift-key demodulator is designed. The frequency to voltage conversion gain of the demodulator is 15 mV/kHz and the dynamic range of the limiting amplifier is around 80 dB. The sensitivity of the IF section including the demodulator and limiting amplifier is -72 dBm. With on-chip tunable components in the low-power low-noise amplifier (LNA) and LC-tank voltage-controlled oscillator circuit, the receiver measures an RF gain of 15 dB at 915 MHz, a sensitivity of -80 dBm at 0.1% bit-error rate, an input referred third-order intercept point of -9 dBm, and a noise figure of 5 dB with a current consumption of 33 mA and a 2450 mu m x 2450 mu m chip area.Item type:Item, Optical studies of the Holmium-doped InGaAsP epilayers(2003-12-01) ;Lee, YC ;Shu, GW ;Cheng, IM ;Chen, CPShen, JLPhotoluminescence (PL), contactless electroreflectance (CER), and Raman scattering measurements have been used to study the structural properties of Ho-doped InGaAsP epilayers. Both the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of PL and the broadening parameter of CER are decreased as the doping amount of Ho element increases. This indicates that Ho doping greatly reduces the residual impurities and improve the quality of epilayers. The Raman spectra of Ho-doped InGaAsP epilayers are found to have asymmetric line shapes. Using a spatial correlation model, it is found the asymmetric broadening of the Raman signal is not influenced by the Ho doping. We hence conclude that the introduction of the Ho element can greatly reduce the residual impurities of LPE-grown layers, but no large amounts of Ho element are being incorporated into the epilayers during the purification. Reusable Software Components (RSC) are the basic building blocks for software construction based on the software reuse practice. Multimedia technology has played an important role in today's application software due to its friendly user interaction as well as its naturally fitting on real world modeling. We, therefore, extended reusable software components to incorporate with multimedia. In other words, the reusable software components include not only code and documents, but also voice narration, animation sequences and message mechanisms. We called such software components as Multimedia Reusable Components (MRCs). Based on these developed MRCs, an interactive multimedia software can be constructed easily, such as entertainment CD title and visual software requirement authoring tool. In this paper we propose the Multimedia Reusable Component and discuss its application on visual requirement representation.Item type:Item, Using a solution crystal growth method to grow arrays of aligned, individually distinct, single-crystalline TiO2 nanoneedles within nanocavities(2005-06-28) ;Weng, CC ;Chen, CP ;Ting, CH ;Wei, KH材料科學與工程學系
