Item type:Item, Application of Green Collaboration Operation on Network Industry(2015-01-01) ;Chen, Yeh-Cheng ;Chu, Chi Nung ;Sun, Hung-Min ;Chen, Ruey-ShunChen, Ling-ChiTraditional information system and managerial mechanism cannot meet the new environment protection regulations; therefore, a new solution must be set up, else it may run the risk of losing the market and the value of product brand. This research focuses on the solutions provided by the network and communication industry, manufacture of the green products, and the establishment of a Web based green collaboration management system, which incorporates the environment protection requests into the product development and green supply chain activities. There are three goals: (1) For the design of green products, green components and product management are set up for the purpose of de-toxin and ease of disassemble; (2) For the green supply chain, the management of hazardous substances, product recycle and disassemble are set up; (3) For the product recycling management, the recycling information is feedback for the product update and collaboration operation. The result of research can provide information for the integration of workflow and information system currently in use, provide RoHS and WEEE management solutions, and set up green collaboration information system, so that green products, brand leadership, and environment protection endeavor can be assured.Item type:Item, Intelligent service-integrated platform based on the RFID technology and software agent system(2011-04-01) ;Yeh, Kun-Chieh ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Chen, Chia-Chen ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceThe mobility of the popular goods on the shelves will have a crucial impact on the store sales. For retailers, the seasonal or news-induced demand for commodity will have the flocking effect or business opportunity lasting for some time; if the product shortage occurs, consumers will immediately turn to other stores, and the sale opportunity will be missed. Traditionally, to confirm the demand for commodity, the stores primarily employ the point-of-sale (POS) system to monitor the inventory of goods, but the turnover rate of popular goods is very demanding. The inventory information supplied by the POS system is that generated after the ledger-closing stage, and it cannot precisely match the actual quantity of goods on the shelves. Therefore, in order to prevent the monetary loss due to the information gap, we propose the "intelligent service-integrated platform", which employs the software agent as the framework to construct the integrated information system mechanism. We also employ the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to realize the smart shelf as the trigger point for the retrieval of commodity message. At the same time, we develop the interactive information platform to provide the consultation and promotion service of goods. The overall framework will help enhance the performance of the sales outlets and improve the customer service, while addressing the time effect issue of the popular commodity. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. User authentication is an important security mechanism for recognizing legal roaming users. The traditional message authentication schemes are impractical for the mobility network due to limited computation, energy resources of mobile clients, and network dynamics, etc. This article will present a new efficient authentication scheme for roaming user so that a more secure and safe living environment is possible. In addition, the proposed method could provide complete functionality because: (1) no password table is required by the home agent; (2) users can freely choose their own passwords; (3) it provides mutual authentication between the user and the foreign agent; (4) user may update their password after the registration phase; (5) session key agreement is generated by the user and the foreign agent for each session; (6) lower communication cost; (7) mobile user anonymity property is provided. Finally, the proposed scheme is more suitable for mobile clients and smart-card users. It can be applied into mobile applications in the future smart living environments.Item type:Item, Using data mining technology to provide a recommendation service in the digital library(2007) ;Chen, Chia-Chen ;Chen, An-Pin ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinancePurpose - Since library storage has been increasing day by day, it is difficult for readers to find the books which interest them as well as representative booklists. How to utilize meaningful information effectively to improve the service quality of the digital library appears to be very important. The purpose of this paper is to provide a recommendation system architecture to promote digital library services in electronic libraries. Design/methodology/approach - In the proposed architecture, a two-phase data mining process used by association rule and clustering methods is designed to generate a recommendation system. The process considers not only the relationship of a cluster of users but also the associations among the information accessed. Findings - The process considered not only the relationship of a cluster of users but also the associations among the information accessed. With the advanced filter, the recommendation supported by the proposed system architecture would be closely served to meet users' needs. Originality/value - This paper not only constructs a recommendation service for readers to search books from the web but takes the initiative in finding the most suitable books for readers as well. Furthermore, library managers are expected to purchase core and hot books from a limited budget to maintain and satisfy the requirements of readers along with promoting digital library services.
