Item type:Item, An Effective Digital System for Intelligent Financial Environments(2019-01-01) ;Zhang, Wenyuan ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Chen, Yeh-Cheng ;Lu, S-YXiong, NaixueA good set of the financial system could take care of all accounting entries and their impacts on the whole intelligent financial environment. The total flow of money and total expenditures will be reflected here. The intelligent financial system can improve the utilization of data, increase the work efficiency of financial personnel, and increase the security of financial processing services. This system could help the managers make their important financial decisions, financial budgeting, and so on. They can know about the financial conditions at any time. Based on the collection and processing of financial data, we design and analyze the related financial system to carry out the intelligent property of the financial environments. The system extends the quality of financial reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls in a financial system, including credit management, revenue recognition, bad debts allowance. Once there is an early warning in the financial system, our proposed enhanced system could give a fast early response, and bridge a positive linkage about the planning department, finance department, and top managers, which could avoid potential exposure to bad debts. This system guarantees that the credible customers are selected, and avoid the potential risk of bad debts are incurred by a loose credit limit. It strengthens the preventive control over aging receivables management and detects the potential risk of bad debts in the earlier system alert.Item type:Item, Design and Analysis of a Strengthen Internal Control Scheme for Smart Trust Financial Service(2019-01-01) ;Xiao, Fengjun ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Zhang, Wenyuan ;Chen, Yeh-ChengLu, S-YThe construction of the financial module is very important in the intelligent management of the company. The collection, transmission, and processing of relevant item information in the financial module are of great significance to the construction of the intelligent financial module. The intelligent financial processing module can improve financial office efficiency and increase the security of the financial processing process. Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX 404) has always played a decisive role in the quality and transparency of the financial modules of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) of multinational corporations, due to the mandatory nature of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The purpose of this research is to design a set of intelligent ERP financial modules for multinational corporations that could comply with SOX 404, strengthen internal controls, and improve the security and convenience of the financial module. Thereby achieving intelligent management of financial modules and intelligent prevention of risks. Our solution could fortify the preventive controls over inappropriate payments to products with quality issues, reduce manual efforts for credit memo issuance and receipt. It could also fortify the preventive controls over financial risks potentially threatened by a sudden contingent liability concerning E&O issues. It could prevent potential and unexpected frauds arisen by a malicious user to meet the requirements of SOX over preventive and detective controls over the financial system. It could also ensure the consistency of journals between the preparer's entry and review's approval as well as improve the completeness and timeliness of financial statement assertions.Item type:Item, Design and construction of an in situ inspection machine for ensuring the dynamic performance of fluid bearings in data storage devices(2009-10-01) ;Chao, Paul C. -P. ;Chiu, Chi-Wei ;Huang, J. -S. ;Chen, Chien-Ming電控工程研究所The objective of the study is to design and construct an in situ inspection machine that would be used to evaluate the dynamic performance of the small-scaled hydrodynamic journal bearings used often for data-storage devices. To this end, novel design ideas of using a high-stiffness air bearing and suspending the test bearing by the specially-designed fixture frame are first proposed, which are accompanied by the special requirements in the manufacturing precisions for various dimensions and geometry characteristics of the components of the experiment system. The capacitor-type sensors, including two custom-mades are next utilized to measure the motions of the spindle and bearing. Finally, a calculating algorithm for deriving performance parameters of the test bearing are proposed, which is intended primarily to estimate rotor stiffness coefficients, load capacity, and eccentricity ratio to determine if the test bearing meet the dynamic performance expected by the original design.Item type:Item, Local hemostatic matrix for endoscope-assisted removal of intracerebral hemorrhage is safe and effective(2018-01-01) ;Luh, Hui-Tzung ;Huang, Abel Po-Hao ;Yang, Shih-Hung ;Chen, Chien-MingCho, Der-YangBackground/Purpose: Minimally invasive endoscope-assisted (MIE) evacuation of spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is simple and effective, but the limited working space may hinder meticulous hemostasis and might lead to rebleeding. Management of intraoperative hemorrhage is therefore a critical issue of this study. This study presents experience in the treatment of patients with various types of ICH by MIE evacuation followed by direct local injection of FloSeal Hemostatic Matrix (Baxter Healthcare Corp, Fremont, CA, USA) for hemostasis. Methods: The retrospective nonrandomized clinical and radiology-based analysis enrolled 42 patients treated with MIE evacuation of ICH followed by direct local injection of FloSeal Hemostatic Matrix. Rebleeding, morbidity, and mortality were the primary endpoints. The percentage of hematoma evacuated was calculated from the pre-and postoperative brain computed tomography (CT) scans. Extended Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOSE) was evaluated at 6 months postoperatively. Results: Forty-two ICH patients were included in this study, among these, 23 patients were putaminal hemorrhage, 16 were thalamic ICH, and the other three were subcortical type. Surgery-related mortality was 2.4%. The average percentage of hematoma evacuated was 80.8%, and the rebleeding rate was 4.8%. The mean operative time was 102.7 minutes and the average blood loss was 84.9 mL. The mean postoperative GOSE score was 4.55 at 6-months' follow-up. Conclusion: This study shows that local application of FloSeal Hemostatic Matrix is safe and effective for hemostasis during MIE evacuation of ICH. In our experience, this shortens the operation time, especially in cases with intraoperative bleeding. A large, prospective, randomized trial is needed to confirm the findings. The different additives (such as 1,3-diaminopropane and polyethyleneimine) can be used to control the morphology of ZnO nanostructures. ZnO nanowires exhibit very prominent green emission and week UV emission from defect and band gap in the cathodoluminescence spectrum, respectively. The different morphology of ZnO nanostructures on the stainless steel mesh substrates can be used to irradiate UV light for the photocatalytic degradation of four kinds of organic pollutants, such as methylene blue, rhodamine 6G, methyl orange, and 4-nitrophenol. The ZnO nanowires can provide a higher surface-to-volume ratio and stronger defect emission, resulting in their highest photocatalytic performance in 10 W UV light irradiation. The ZnO nanowire arrays on the stainless steel mesh substrates provide a large-scale, facile, low-cost, high surface area, and high photocatalytic efficiency, which shall be of significant value for practical applications of the decomposition of environment pollutants and reusing of wastewater treatment.
