Item type:Item, A study of the effects of internship experiences on the behavioural intentions of college students majoring in leisure management in Taiwan(2011-10-01) ;Chen, Chin-Tsu ;Hu, Jin-Li ;Wang, Cheng-Cai ;Chen, Chun-Fu經營管理研究所The main purpose of this study was to explore the positive and negative effects of the internship experience on the behavioural intentions of college students in Taiwan. The results of this study suggest five major types of experience; sensory, affective, creative cognitive, physical and relational; have different effects on satisfaction, willingness to return to the original internship organisation, willingness to work, willingness to recommend the internship organisation to other students, ability to move between departments during the internship, whether to continue with studies or suspend schooling, career transition, complaints to colleagues within the internship organisation and external complaints.Item type:Item, A Study on the Influence of Self-concept, Social Support and Academic Achievement on Occupational Choice Intention(2015-03-01) ;Chen, Chin-Tsu ;Chen, Chun-Fu ;Hu, Jin-Li ;Wang, Cheng-Cai經營管理研究所The main purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation among college students\' self-concept, social support, academic performance, and occupational choice intention. Based on the literature review, this study established the research framework and identified the correlations among research variables. A questionnaire survey was conducted on college students in Taiwan, and 1,406 effective samples were retrieved. The data were analyzed using Amos. The results suggested that self-concept has a positive and direct effect on occupational choice intention; social support has a positive and direct effect on academic performance; self-concept and social support have insignificant effects on occupational choice intention through the mediating effect of academic performance. The research findings can serve as references for higher education institutions to improve career education in colleges and adjust the educational system, thereby strengthening educational planning, increasing students\' workplace cognition, and cultivating their workplace competence for future career choices.Item type:Item, Hybrid Image Retargeting(2015-01-01) ;Tsai, Wen-Jiin ;Chen, Chun-Fu ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceAn image retargeting method is presented in this paper, which uses multiple operators to improve the performance. In the method, cropping is adopted first in order to remove non-important content to the desired aspect ratio while keeping significant content intact. If the desired aspect ratio cannot be met by cropping, an aspect ratio adjusting method is then adopted to fit the image to the desired aspect ratio. Uniform scaling is used in the last stage to adjust the image to the desired size. Since aspect ratio needs no change, the scaling can retain all the information without causing any distortion. Since different operators are applied in different stages, their benefits are fully utilized and drawbacks can be avoided. Experimental result shows that this approach can improve the retargeting performance at a low computation cost.Item type:Item, The Influence of Internship Experiences on the Behavioral Intentions of College Students in Taiwan(2011-03-01) ;Chen, Chin-Tsu ;Chen, Chun-Fu ;交大名義發表National Chiao Tung UniversityThis study investigates the effect of internship experience on behavioral intention of college students in Taiwan. The results of empirical study suggest that internship experiences can be divided into positive experiences and negative experiences, each containing five major aspects: sensory experiences, affective experiences, creative cognitive experiences, physical experiences, and relational experiences. Each aspect has different effects on satisfaction with experiences, willingness to return to the original units, willingness to work, willingness to recommend, unit transition, thoughts of suspending schooling, career transition, internal complaints, and external complaints. Moreover, different personal traits have significant differences on the students' behavioral intentions of internship.Item type:Item, Tungsten Oxide Resistive Memory Using Rapid Thermal Oxidation of Tungsten Plugs(2010) ;Lai, Erh-Kun ;Chien, Wei-Chih ;Chen, Yi-Chou ;Hong, Tian-JueLin, Yu-YuA complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-compatible WO(x) based resistive memory has been developed. The WO(x) memory layer is made from rapid thermal oxidation of W plugs. The device performs excellent electrical properties. The switching speed is extremely fast (similar to 2 ns) and the programming voltage (< 1: 4 V) is low. For single-level cell (SLC) operation, the device shows a large resistance window, and 10(8)-cycle endurance. For multi-level cell (MLC) operation, it demonstrates 2-bit/cell storage with the endurance up to 10000 times. The rapid thermal oxidation (RTO) WO(x) resistance random access memory (RRAM) is very promising for both high-density and embedded memory applications. (C) 2010 The Japan Society of Applied Physics
