Item type:Item, Experimental verification of multidimensional quantum steering(2018-03-01) ;Li, Che-Ming ;Lo, Hsin-Pin ;Chen, Liang-Yu ;Yabushita, Atsushi電子物理學系Quantum steering enables one party to communicate with another remote party even if the sender is untrusted. Such characteristics of quantum systems not only provide direct applications to quantum information science, but are also conceptually important for distinguishing between quantum and classical resources. While concrete illustrations of steering have been shown in several experiments, quantum steering has not been certified for higher dimensional systems. Here, we introduce a simple method to experimentally certify two different kinds of quantum steering: Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering and single-system (SS) steering (i.e., temporal steering), for dimensionality (d) up to d = 16. The former reveals the steerability among bipartite systems, whereas the latter manifests itself in single quantum objects. We use multidimensional steering witnesses to verify EPR steering of polarization-entangled pairs and SS steering of single photons. The ratios between the measured witnesses and the maximum values achieved by classical mimicries are observed to increase with.. for both EPR and SS steering. The designed scenario offers a new method to study further the genuine multipartite steering of large dimensionality and potential uses in quantum information processing. (c) 2017 Elsevier B.V. This study investigates the effects of extension parameters and processing procedures on the super-structure of a polypropylene (PP) film. An biaxial extension device is also designed and fabricated to analyze the effects of annealing, extension temperature, extension rate and other parameters on the super-structures of PP films. Based on super-structure analyses, the relationships between extension parameters and film structures are determined, and an extension process that involves a second time stretching procedure is suggested. Experimental results indicate that void structures can be generated by biaxial extension at the interface between the crystalline and amorphous regions in a film. The mechanical strength of the film is also affected by stretching and become highly oriented. Although a low extension temperature can increase the number of void structures generated at a low extension ratio, structure sizes are dispersed. Additionally, voids with uniform size can be obtained when the film is stretched at a high temperature; however, it needs a high extension ratio to promote the formation of void structures. As for annealing treatment, when the annealing temperature increased, the size and quantity of the spherulites that were formed in films by annealing also increased, but these films tend to have similar sizes and numbers of void structures. Based on the experimental results, this study also describes how parameters influence the void structures of a PP film created during the extension process. Analysis results further demonstrate how extension parameters and processing procedures can be adjusted to improve the fabrication of PP films.Item type:Item, Physical properties of polycrystalline Cr-doped SnO(2) films grown on glasses using reactive dc magnetron co-sputtering technique(2011-01-01) ;Liu, Shiu-Jen ;Chen, Liang-Yu ;Liu, Chai-Yun ;Fang, Hau-WeiHsieh, Jang-HsingElectrical, optical and magnetic properties of polycrystalline Cr-doped SnO(2) films grown on glasses using reactive dc magnetron co-sputtering technique were investigated. The Cr content was modulated by varying the sputtering power applied on the Cr target. The carrier concentration and conductivity of doped films are reduced with increasing the Cr doping. Moreover, while the Cr content ratio Cr/( Sn + Cr) exceeds 0.9 at.%, the doped SnO(2) films become insulators and the optical transmission is strongly affected. The surface roughness of sputtered films is also increased by Cr doping. The co-sputtered Cr-doped SnO(2) films exhibit paramagnetic characteristics from room temperature down to 25 K. If RUL can be accurately estimated, the schedule of maintenance can be proper to moderate the waste and cost of the production. Digital Radio Frequency Matching Box (RF-MB) is an essential equipment in the semiconductor manufacturing process. The status of RF-MB will be recorded by the Fault Detection and Classification (FDC). In order to establish the RUL of RF-MB, we use Fisher Discriminant Analysis (FDA) for feature selection to concentrate the leading variables in FDC. We marked the first 2 days of the RF-MB operation as "Good" and marked the last 2 days before the failure of RF-MB as "Bad". We used eXtended Classifier System with continuous -valued inputs (XCSR) to learn the well-labeled FDC data. The results show that XCSR can quickly find patterns and meaningful variables. The average accuracy of XCSR is 97.3% and the average missing rate of rules is only about 1.6%. The results confirmed that XCSR is capable of alerting related operator before the plasma component reaching its residual life. In the future, we will use XCS with Function approximation (XCSF) to more accurately approximate the function of RUL. We look forward to building a complete assessment of RUL.Item type:Item, Real-Time Detection of Internet Addiction Using Reinforcement Learning System(2019-01-01) ;Ji, Hong-Ming ;Chen, Liang-Yu ;Hsiao, Tzu-Chien ;資訊工程學系資訊科學與工程研究所Since Internet addiction (IA) was reported in 1996, research on IA assessment has attracted considerable interest. The development of a real-time detector system can help communities, educational institutes, or clinics immediately assess the risk of IA in Internet users. However, current questionnaires were designed to ask Internet users to self-report their Internet experiences for at least 6 months. Physiological measurements were used to assist questionnaires in the shortterm assessment of IA, but physiological properties cannot assess IA in real-time due to a lack of algorithms. Therefore, the real-time detection of IA is still a work in progress. In this study, we adopted an extended classifier system with continuous real-coded variables (XCSR), which can solve the non-Markovian problem with continuous real-values to produce optimal policy, and determine high-risk and low-risk IA using Chen Internet addiction scale (CIAS) data or respiratory instantaneous frequency (IF) components of Internet users as input information. The result shows that the classification accuracy of XCSR can reach close to 100%. We also used XCSR to verify the items of CIAS and extract important respiratory indexes to assess IA. We expect that a real-time detector that immediately assesses the risk of IA may be designed in this way.
