Item type:Item, Designing data warehouses for equipment management system with genetic algorithms(2008) ;Chen, K. -Y. ;Chen, M. -C. ;Liu, W. -Y. ;運輸與物流管理系 註:原交通所+運管所Department of Transportation and Logistics ManagementEffective equipment management is becoming one of the key factors in keeping a competitive advantage in the dynamic business environment since equipment is an important asset for manufacturing companies. Nowadays, maintenance administration has become one of the most important tasks in equipment management, particularly in manufacturing industries. Equipment management system (EMS) aims at reducing maintenance cost and production loss caused by machine breakdown. In addition, EMS can assist equipment engineers to make the right maintenance decisions at the right time, and at the right shop floor. Traditional computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) have helped equipment engineers to deal with maintenance operations, but they lack decision support capability. In this paper, we design a data warehouse (DW) for EMS to help equipment engineers make maintenance decisions with various equipment related dimensions to improve effectiveness. A set of cubes can be built from EMS DW for the purpose of decision-making. In order to achieve a reasonable query response time under the memory space limit, a mechanism of partial materialization based on genetic algorithms (GAs) is adopted to design data cubes in the EMS DW. From the computational results the proposed GA-based approach for cube design can be applied to effectively select the appropriate multi-dimensional views for equipment management.Item type:Item, EUV continuum from compressed multiple thin plate supercontinuum(2016) ;Huang, P. C. ;Lu, C. H. ;Chen, B. H. ;Yang, S. D.Chen, M. -C.A one-cycle (3.3fs) pulse compressed from multiple thin plates generated supercontinuum has been demonstrated and used to produce a bright EUV continuum covering from 43 to 65 eV with high up-conversion efficiency of 5x10(-5).Item type:Item, High Performance Complementary Ge Peaking FinFETs by Room Temperature Neutral Beam Oxidation for Sub-7 nm Technology Node Applications(2016-01-01) ;Lee, Y. -J. ;Hong, T. -C. ;Hsueh, F. -K. ;Sung, P. J.Chen, C. -Y.Ge peaking n- and p-FinFETs have been demonstrated by adopting neutral beam etching (NBE) and anisotropic neutral beam oxidation (NBO) processes. The irradiation-free NB processes not only suppress surface roughness but also guarantee low defect generation on the etched Ge surface. The fabricated Ge peaking FinFETs possess several unique features: (1) A peaking fin configuration with a 6-nm top-gate formed by an anisotropic NBO process at room temperature. (2) Nearly defect-free three dimensional channel surfaces by NB processes. (3) ION and Gm improvement by NB processes as compared to that by conventional inductively coupled plasma etching (ICP). (4) Recorded high I-ON/I-OFF ratio and low subthreshold swing (S.S. similar to 70 mV/dec.) of Ge n-FinFETs. (5) Excellent immunity for short channel effect of Ge FinFETs.Item type:Item, Using network centralized data envelopment analysis for shipping line resource allocation(2018-08-01) ;Chen, M. -C. ;Yu, M. -M. ;Ho, Y. -T. ;運輸與物流管理系 註:原交通所+運管所Department of Transportation and Logistics ManagementIn liner shipping, the objective of a shipping company is to gain profits with a certain number of dispatched vessels and shipping costs depending on the shipping line conditions and market trends. In view of the current need to address global warming and reduce carbon emissions, the issue of greenhouse gases produced by shipping line operations should be considered in addition to profits. This study applied centralized decision making involving centralized data envelopment analysis for optimal resource allocation for each shipping line in order to achieve optimal output and undesirable output levels with reallocation of resources while using currently available resources. In the empirical analysis, this study sought to verify the resource allocation model for the intra-Asia lines of a Taiwanese shipping company by using the network centralized data envelopment analysis. The results showed that the proposed model provides shipping line operators with information on the amounts by which they should reduce undesirable outputs (carbon emissions), increase line revenue and revenue TEU-nautical mile, and reallocate resources. As such, the model can serve as a guide for resource allocation in shipping lines.
