Item type:Item, A 10 Gb/s Adaptive Cable Equalizer Using Phase Detection Technique in 0.13 mu m CMOS Technology(2012) ;Chen, Kuang-Ren ;Tsai, Chia-Ming ;You, Sheng-Kai ;Li, An-SiouChen, Wen-TsaoThis paper presents an adaptive cable equalizer employing a time-domain approach called the phase detection technique in 0.13 mu m CMOS technology. The equalizer can compensate a 24-inch microstrip on an FR4 PCB, which has an 18dB channel loss at 5GHz. Meanwhile it also avoids offset-sensitive rectifiers which normally exist in conventional equalizers. The proposed adaptive cable equalizer consumes 39mW excluding the output buffer from a 1.5-V supply voltage and the measured BER is less than 10(-13).Item type:Item, A 6Gb/s Adaptive Equalizer Using Overshoot Control in 0.18 mu m CMOS Technology(2012) ;Nee, Hsu-Che ;Tsai, Chia-Ming ;You, Sheng-Kai ;Chen, Wen-Tsao電子工程學系及電子研究所This work proposes an adaptive equalizer employing a new overshoot control for achieving optimized equalization. The proposed overshoot detection scheme obviates the need for slicers to achieve high-speed operation with low power dissipation. The circuit adapts to FR4 trace lengths for up to 40 inches. The measurement results show that the equalizer achieves a good eye performance while consuming 40mW from a 1.8V supply.Item type:Item, Dynamic droop scaling for improving current sharing performance in a system with multiple supplies(2007-01-01) ;Ho, Hsin-Hsin ;Chen, Ke-Horng ;Chen, Wen-Tsao ;交大名義發表National Chiao Tung UniversityA novel dynamic droop scaling (DDS) technique is proposed to improve current sharing performance of multiple supplies system. Owing to the implementation dual current sensing loops, the power dissipation of sensing resistor can be reduced compared with conventional droop technique. Besides, the dual current sensing loops not only increase droop slope but also eliminate the requirement of expensive and accurate external components. Furthermore, the proposed incremental output voltage circuit can raise output voltage to meet the requirement of allowable minimum output voltage according to increment of load current. It means that the DDS can break through the limitation of conventional droop technique. A system supplied by two supply modules with rated 20A output current demonstrates the correction of our DDS technique. The current difference between two supply modules can be shrunk from 12.5A to 2.9A. In other words, the error percentage of current sharing performance can be improved from 42.5% to 8.2%.Item type:Item, Dynamic droop scaling for improving current sharing performance in a system with multiple supplies(2007-01-01) ;Ho, Hsin-Hsin ;Chen, Ke-Horng ;Chen, Wen-Tsao ;交大名義發表National Chiao Tung UniversityA novel dynamic droop scaling (DDS) technique is proposed to improve current sharing performance of multiple supplies system.
