Item type:Item, Real-time CRP detection from whole blood using micropost-embedded microfluidic chip incorporated with label-free biosensor(2018-01-21) ;Tsai, Meng-Zhe ;Hsiung, Chan-Te ;Chen, Yang ;Huang, Cheng-ShengHsu, Hsin-YunWe demonstrate the detection of C-creative protein (CRP) from whole blood samples without sample pretreatment by using a lab-on-a-chip system consisting of a microfluidic chip and a label-free biosensor. The microfluidic chip includes an array of microposts for filtering blood cells and allows only plasma to flow through and reach the guided-mode resonance (GMR) biosensor for real-time monitoring. The developed GMR sensor can achieve a bulk sensitivity of 186 nm RIU-1, which supports a limit of detection of 3.2 ng mL(-1) for recombinant CRP spiked in human serum. The results are comparable with those obtained using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. In addition, we demonstrate the efficacy of filtration of blood cells using microposts and simultaneous measurement of CRP concentration using a GMR sensor by using whole blood and plasma samples.Item type:Item, ROBDD-Based Area Minimization Synthesis for Reconfigurable Single-Electron Transistor Arrays(2015) ;Chen, Yi-Hang ;Chen, Yang ;Huang, Juinn-Dar ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsThe power dissipation has become a crucial issue for most electronic circuit and system designs nowadays when fabrication processes exploit even deeper submicron technology. In particular, leakage power is becoming a dominant source of power consumption. In recent years, the reconfigurable singleelectron transistor (SET) array has been proposed as an emerging circuit design style for continuing Moore\'s Law due to its ultra-low power consumption. Several automated synthesis techniques for area minimization have been developed for the reconfigurable SET array in the past few years. Nevertheless, most of those existing methods focus on variable and product term reordering during SET mapping. In fact, minimizing the number of product terms can greatly reduce the area as well, which has not been well addressed before. In this paper, we propose a dynamic shifting based variable ordering algorithm that can minimize the number of disjoint sum-of-product terms extracted from the given ROBDD. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve an area reduction of up to 49% as compared to current state-of-the-art techniques.
