Item type:Item, Blue electroluminescence enhancement of poly{2,7-(9,9'-dioctylfluorene)-co-4-diphenylamino-4'-bipenylmethylsulfide} incorporating side-chain-tethered gold nanoparticles(2007-09-24) ;Hsu, So-Lin ;Chou, Chia-Hung ;Chen, Chen-Ping ;Wei, Kung-Hwa材料科學與工程學系Through in situ reduction of a gold precursor, we have tethered gold nanoparticles (An NPs) to the side chains of poly(2,7(9,9'-dioctylfluorene)-co-4-diphenylamino-4'-bipenylmethylsulfide) (PF-DBMS) through its ArSCH3 anchor groups. The presence of 1 wt % of the tethered Au NPs led to a reduction in the degree of aggregation of the polymer chains, resulting in a 50 % increase in its quantum yield. ne electroluminescence of a 1 wt % Au/PF-DBMS device was almost four times higher in terms of its maximum brightness and its full-width-at-half-maximum emission peak was much narrower than that of a pure PF-DBMS device; the presence of a small amount of Au NPs significantly enhances the electron injection and transport and suppresses the photo-oxidation of PF-DBMS.Item type:Item, Electroluminescent polymer structure(2008-02-28) ;Wei, Kung-HwaChou, Chia-HungOne type of electroluminescence polymer that include at least one side-chain-tethered polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane that will form self-assembled structure and may build a free volume among the polymers to prevent the polymers from stacking and enhance luminescence efficiency and thermal stability.Item type:Item, Light-emitting diode of polymer nanocomposite with quantum dots(2007-07-05) ;Wei, Kung-HwaChou, Chia-HungThe present invention provides a light-emitting diode made of a polymer nanocomposite doped with quantum dots to improve luminescence efficiency and to increase stability and electrical characteristics.Item type:Item, Thiophenol-modified CdS nanoparticles enhance the luminescence of benzoxyl dendron-substituted polyfluorene copolymers(2006-05-02) ;Chou, Chia-Hung ;Wang, Hsu-Shen ;Wei, Kung-Hwa ;Huang, Jung Y.材料科學與工程學系Highly luminescent dendron-substituted copolyfluorenes that incorporate surface-modified cadmium sulfide nanoparticles have been prepared. A small percentage of these nanoparticles can be incorporated into the dendritic structures upon tailoring the interfaces between the ligands on the nanoparticles and the dendritic structures in the copolyfluorene. Both the photoluminescence and electroluminescence efficiencies of the polymer nanocomposites are dramatically enhanced-sometimes more than doubled-relative to the values of the pure polymer.
