Item type:Item, A study on Developing the Indicators of Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction for the Business(2014-01-01) ;Lin, Liang-kong ;Den, Walter ;Chou, Ying-Chyi ;Yen, Hsin-YiLu, Ching-HuaGreen House Gas (GHG) emission has become a critical issue for firms to achieve sustainability. This paper focuses on improving enterprises allocate resource on greening more efficiently and proposes a hybrid MCDM model combining Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) to recognize the crucial criteria which have dependence and causality, and build the network relationship map among all GHG criteria. Eighteen criteria of GHG emission with six dimensions were selected from the literatures and modified by six experts of energy sector. The results showed that improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption are recognized to be the most influential dimensions of six. In addition, identifying the causality between six dimensions provide an insight for practitioners utilizing firm's resources in GHG emission more effectively.Item type:Item, Application of Kano\'s Two-Dimensional Quality Model and QFD on a Gender-Friendly Environment of Hospital(2014-01-01) ;Chou, Ying-Chyi ;Tsai, Pei-Chi ;Pai, Jar-Yuan ;Yen, Hsin-YiLu, Ching-HuaWith changes in economic development and market environment, people are paying more attention to service quality. Professional and medical conflicts are also increasing, and the quality of medical services has also come under increasing spotlight. Using the Kano two-dimensional quality model, this study proposed a priority list for constructing a gender-friendly environment. Combining the service experience engineering process, SERVQUAL scale and expert interviews, a questionnaire surveying the gender-friendliness of medical facilities is developed to determine patient needs. Research results showed that in terms of the gender-friendliness of medical facilities, patients are mostly aware of must-be qualities even if there was significant room for improvement in the existing health care environment, such as needing plenty of and clearly marked childcare areas. Using Quality Function Deployment and House of Quality, a priority list for facility improvements are made for the references for management.Item type:Item, Identifying inventory problems in the aerospace industry using the theory of constraints(2012) ;Chou, Ying-Chyi ;Lu, Ching-Hua ;Tang, Ya-Yun ;管理科學系Department of Management Science"In the aerospace industry, where each component is time-critical, many operation management tools are applied to improve material management efficiency. By using the theory of constraints (TOCs), this study diagnoses the undesirable effects (UDEs) of material management systems and identifies root problems or conflicting material management actions. In the second step, via UDEs, this study constructs a current reality tree (CRT) to identify a company's material management objectives and requirements, and the actions it takes to meet these objectives. In addition, the UDEs and CRT are applied to redesign the future reality tree (FRT) to develop strategies and eliminate the problems in the case company. By eliminating the conflicting inventory management activities of different departments, inventory management performance for the entire system is improved."Item type:Item, Using Theory of Constraints to Find the Problem about High Level Inventory in the Aerospace Industry(2010) ;Chou, Ying-Chyi ;Lu, Ching-hua ;Chang, Pao-Long ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceIn aerospace industry, cause each component of the plant is specify and time-critical, lot of operation management tools are apply to improving material management efficient. By using theory of constraint (TOC), we construct a "Current Reality Tree (CRT)" to realize a firm\'s material management objectives and requirement, and what they do to fulfill them. In the second step, through CRT, we diagnose the material management systems\' Undesirable Effects (UDEs) and find where the system\'s root problems or conflict material management actions are. We choice an aerospace manufacturer company as a case. The analysis result point out each department has different goals to fulfill. First, the material management department introduce Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) to reduce average material cost, but inventory management department using flexible purchase system to reduce the inventory cost on the contrary. Second, the operation department purchase universal material to increase the material utility, but increasing the average inventory turnover rate, and then decrease inventory management department performance. In the end, we apply Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) and Balance Scorecard System (BSC) to redesign the whole inventory system, by eliminating the conflict inventory management activities from different department, we increase the whole system inventory management performance.
