Item type:Item, AN EFFICIENT ALGORITHM FOR COMPUTING THE NONCENTRALITY PARAMETERS OF CHI-SQUARED TESTS(1994) ;DING, CG ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceUse of Newton's method for computing the noncentrality parameter based on the specified power in sample size problems of chi-squared tests requires that we evaluate both the noncentral chi-squared distribution function and its derivative with respect to the noncentrality parameter. A close relationship between computing formulas for them is revealed, by which their evaluations can be performed jointly. This property greatly reduces the amount of computation involved. The corresponding algorithm is provided in a step-by-step form.Item type:Item, COMPUTING THE NONCENTRAL CHI-2 DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION(1992) ;DING, CG ;交大名義發表 ;管理科學系 ;National Chiao Tung UniversityDepartment of Management ScienceItem type:Item, EVALUATION OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE SQUARE OF THE SAMPLE MULTIPLE-CORRELATION COEFFICIENT(1991) ;DING, CG ;BARGMANN, RE ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceItem type:Item, ON THE COMPUTATION OF THE NONCENTRAL BETA-DISTRIBUTION(1994-11-01) ;DING, CG ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceTwo recurrence formulas for computing the noncentral beta distribution function and the density are proposed. The computations can be carried to any specified accuracy using the error bounds obtained. Corresponding algorithms are provided in a step-by-step form. A close relationship between the formulas allows joint evaluation of the distribution function and the density. The noncentral beta quantile can then be efficiently computed using Newton's method. Its algorithm is also given in a step-by-step form.Item type:Item, QUANTILES OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE SQUARE OF THE SAMPLE MULTIPLE-CORRELATION COEFFICIENT(1991) ;DING, CG ;BARGMANN, RE ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceItem type:Item, THE INFLUENCE OF CULTURE ON INDUSTRIAL BUYING SELECTION CRITERIA IN TAIWAN AND MAINLAND CHINA(1995-08-01) ;CHANG, KC ;DING, CG ;交大名義發表 ;管理科學系National Chiao Tung UniversityThis study investigated the effects of culture on two industrial vendor selection criteria, price and delivery schedule. Hofstede's dimensions and Chinese Culture Connection's Chinese value survey (CVS), two instruments based on different constructs, were used together to represent the cultural characteristics of industrial buyers from Taiwan and Mainland China. The findings indicated that the CVS was more suitable for detecting cultural differences between these two areas and that masculinity, integration, and moral discipline had significant effects on price awards.
