Item type:Item, A Sigma-Delta modulation based analog BIST system with a wide bandwidth fifth-order analog response extractor for diagnosis purpose(2004) ;Hong, HC ;Wu, CW ;Cheng, KT ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringA wide bandwidth Sigma-Delta modulation based analog built-in self-test (BIST) system that can diagnose the prototype is presented. It consists of a low-cost design-for-testability (DfT) switched-capacitor filter as the circuit under test (CUT) and a wide bandwidth analog response extractor (ARE) to digitize the analog responses for final DSP analysis. The first stage of the DfT CUT is reconfigured to accept a repetitive Sigma-Delta modulated bit-steam as its stimulus. This DfT technique reuses every original component and thus provides the advantages of lowering the testing cost, increasing the fault coverage as well as the accuracy, and being able to perform the at-speed tests. The ARE is a cascaded 2-1-1-1 fifth-order Sigma-Delta modulator equipped with single-bit quantizers to extend the testing bandwidth while retaining moderate tolerance of circuit imperfections. Our measurement results show that this ARE is able to provide a -95 dB spurious free dynamic range over 1 MHz bandwidth when operates at 30 MHz. A multi-tone test is performed to manifest the wide bandwidth and high accuracy of our BIST system. Based on the BIST results, a novel method of diagnosing the prototype to speed up the time-to-market is also proposed and demonstrated by our BIST system.Item type:Item, Design and implementation of a web-based bulletin system for official documents(2000) ;Hong, HC ;Chen, YC ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceThis paper addresses some design issues for building a web-based bulletin system for traditional paper-based official document. In an organization, when an official document is to be distributed, it is usually copied and delivered to the corresponding recipients. However, some of the delivery is unnecessary, it not only wastes paper and manpower, but also causes environment protection and document management problems. In order to accommodate these issues, we have developed a web-based official-document bulletin system - Ann. Ann is a highly automated system, it processes the document quickly as well as produces both web pages and hyperlinks automatically. The system can help release our workload for manipulating printed official documents, while users can browse and make hard copies if needed. Since HTML language can neither properly divide pages nor controls the document size, we provide solutions in our system. Arm is currently deployed in National Taiwan University.Item type:Item, Design and implementation of a web-based real-time interactive collaboration environment(2003) ;Hong, HC ;Chen, YC ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceWWW becomes the most popular application platform due to its user friendly multimedia user interface. In this work, we design and implement a Web-based Real-time Interactive Collaboration Environment (WRICE) on the Internet. The goal of the work is to design an efficient and friendly network environment to ease the collaboration activities through the Internet. There are three important features implemented in our system, the first one is a user friendly interaction interface through synchronized free drawing and real-time video/audio stream, the second one is a scalable architecture that improves the multicast performance for multimedia content, and the third one is a web-based architecture with a variety of optional features, which are installation free from the standpoint of users.Item type:Item, Design-for-digital-testability 30 MHz second-order Sigma-Delta modulator(2004) ;Hong, HC ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringA purely digitally testable second-order Sigma-Delta modulator is presented. In the test mode, the input stage of the modulator is reconfigured to accept a repetitive Sigma-Delta modulated bit-stream as its stimulus. The proposed test scheme has a low cost, a high fault coverage, high measurement accuracy, and is able to do the at-speed tests. The experimental results show that the dynamic range measured with the digital stimulus is only 2 dB inferior to that with its analog counterpart.Item type:Item, Using hypermedia in computer-aided instruction(1996-05-01) ;Chen, LS ;Liu, PW ;Chang, KY ;Chen, JPChen, SC
