Item type:Item, An integrated healthcare enterprise information portal and healthcare information system framework(2006) ;Hsieh, S. L. ;Lai, Feipei ;Cheng, P. H. ;Chen, J. L.Lee, H. H.The paper presents an integrated, distributed Healthcare Enterprise Information Portal (HEIP) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) framework over wireless/wired infrastructure at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). A single sign-on solution for the hospital customer relationship management (CRNI) in HEIP has been established. The outcomes of the newly developed Outpatient Information Systems (OIS) in HIS are discussed. The future HEIP blueprints with CRM oriented features: e-Learning, Remote Consultation and Diagnosis (RCD), as well as on-Line Vaccination Services are addressed. Finally, the integrated HEIP and HIS architectures based on the middleware technologies are proposed along with the feasible approaches. The preliminary performance of multi-media, time-based data exchanges over the wireless HEIP side is collected to evaluate the efficiency of the architecture.Item type:Item, Asymmetric valley-resolved beam splitting and incident modes in slanted graphene junctions(2016-01-18) ;Hsieh, S. H. ;Chu, C. S. ;電子物理學系Department of ElectrophysicsElectron injection into a graphene sheet through a slanted armchair graphene nanoribbon (AGNR) is investigated. An incident mode, or subband, in the AGNR is valley-unpolarized. Our attention is on the valley-resolved nature of the injected electron beams and its connection to the incident mode. It is known for a normal injection that an incident mode will split symmetrically into two valley-resolved beams of equal intensity. We show, in contrast, that slanted injections result in asymmetric valley-resolved beam splitting. The most asymmetric beam splitting cases, when one of the valley-resolved beams has basically disappeared, are found and the condition derived. This is shown not due to trigonal warping because it holds even in the low incident energy regime, as long as collimation allows. These most asymmetric beam splitting cases occur at energies within an energy interval near and include the subband edge of an incident mode. The physical picture is best illustrated by a projection of the slanted AGNR subband states onto that of the 2D graphene sheet. It follows that the disappearing of a valley-resolved beam coincides with the situation that the group velocities of the projected states in the corresponding valley are in backward directions. H.Lai, FeipeiThe paper presents a multi-tier, integrated, distributed Inpatient Healthcare Information System based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) NET environment in National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). The architecture and outcomes of the newly developed Inpatient Information System (IIS) platform are discussed in details. We also present mechanisms of integration as well as interoperability among the components and multi-database in IIS via Health Level Seven (HL7) Middleware layer. The preliminary performance of the current operating IIS is evaluated and analyzed to verify the efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture we designed.Item type:Item, MULTI-LEVEL OPERATION OF FULLY CMOS COMPATIBLE WOX RESISTIVE RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RRAM)(2009) ;Chien, W. C. ;Chen, Y. C. ;Chang, K. P. ;Lai, E. K.Yao, Y. D.The multi-level operation of WOX based RRAM has been investigated. Improvement of our WOX process has produced an extended linear R-V region for our devices. By adding an electrical forming process and a program-verify algorithm we have demonstrated stable 2-bit/cell operation, with potential for 3-bit/cell. The reliability of the MLC operation has been examined and very stable high temperature retention, robust read disturb immunity and initial cycling endurance of >1,000 times have been demonstrated.Item type:Item, Wireless/wired collaborative remote consultation Emergency Healthcare Information Systems framework(2006) ;Hsieh, S. L. ;Weng, Y. C. ;Hsieh, S. H. ;Lai, F. P.Hsu, K. P.The paper presents an integrated, collaborative, distributed Emergency Healthcare Information Systems (HIS) framework over wireless, wired infrastructure in Taiwan. The framework can be extended and adapted to other regions as well. The Remote Consultation for Emergency Services (RCES) prototype based on the middleware technologies are proposed along with the feasible approaches. The prototype enhances the communication possibilities not only to simplify the understanding of an accident situation at an emergency center, but to deliver first-aid instructions via multimedia, Time-Based data to the accident site. The underneath technologies, including: SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), SDP (Session Description Protocol), JMF (Java Media Framework), RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol), JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) as well as Java implementations are deployed. The preliminary performance evaluations regarding Time Based streaming media exchanges in RCES over PLAN are collected and evaluated.
