Item type:Item, Fuzzy control design of a magnetically actuated optical image stabilizer with hysteresis compensation(2009-04-01) ;Tu, Tse-Yi ;Chao, Paul C. -P. ;Chiu, Chi-Wei ;Wang, Chun-ChiehHuang, Jeng-ShenA fuzzy controller (FC) is designed for a magnetically actuated optical image stabilizer (OIS) in order to suppress the vibrations caused by hand shakings and hysteresis. To this end, the dynamic model of the OIS with consideration of hysteresis is first established, along with assuming the hand-shaking vibration as sinusoidal excitations. It is clearly shown that with capability of continuing parameter tuning, the FC is superior to the conventional PID for vibration suppression. (C) 2009 American Institute of Physics. The FDA starts with constructing the mass flux equations of the HGJB filled with ferrofluid. Discretization for FDA is next performed over the bearing clearance domain, from which algebraic finite difference equations based on the mass flow balance over the clearance domain are derived. Solving the equations, rotordynamic coefficients, cavitation zones, and side leakage rate are successfully predicted to show effectiveness in enhancing bearing performance by ferrofluid.
