Item type:Item, Direct observation of long-term durability of superconductivity in YBa2Cu3O7-Ag2O composites(2003-10-01) ;Lin, JJ ;Lin, YH ;Huang, SM ;Lee, TCChen, TMWe report direct observation of long-term durability of superconductivity of several YBa2Cu3O7-Ag2O composites that were first prepared and studied almost fourteen years ago [J. J. Lin et al.: Jpn. J. Appl. Phys. 29 (1990) 497]. Remeasurements performed recently on both resistances and magnetizations indicate a sharp critical transition temperature at 91 K. We also find that such long-term environmental stability of high-temperature superconductivity can only be achieved in YBa2Cu3O7 with Ag2O addition, but not with pure Ag addition.Item type:Item, Enhancing teredo IPv6 tunneling to traverse the symmetric NAT(2006-05-01) ;Huang, SM ;Wu, Q ;Lin, YB ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceBy tunneling IPv6 packets over IPv4 UDP, Teredo supports IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack nodes in private IPv4 networks behind Network Address Translation (NAT) to access IPv6 networks. However, the current Teredo protocol does not work with symmetric NAT. This letter proposes SymTeredo, an extension of Teredo with capability to traverse the symmetric NAT. Our extension preserves the Teredo architecture, and offers backward compatibility with the original Teredo protocol.Item type:Item, Low temperature electrical transport properties of RuO2 and IrO2 single crystals(2004-11-17) ;Lin, JJ ;Huang, SM ;Lin, YH ;Lee, TCLiu, HWe have systematically measured the electrical transport properties of several RuO2 and IrO2 single crystals over a wide temperature range from 300 K down to 0.3 K to study the conduction mechanisms in these oxides. Our measured resistivities are in close agreement with the recent band-theory calculations for these materials. The characteristic temperatures for the acoustic-mode and optical-mode phonons are determined. Our measured magnetoresistances are positive and follow the Kohler rule, indicating that the transport properties of these oxides exhibit normal behaviour as described by the Boltzmann equation. In contrast, we do not find any signature of superconductivity down to 0.3 K, though the band-theory calculations predict a superconducting transition temperature of similar to5 K. Magnetization measurements suggest a very low level of paramagnetic impurities in our crystals.Item type:Item, Process sensitivity and robustness analysis of via-first dual-damascene process(2003-05-01) ;Tsui, BY ;Chen, CW ;Huang, SM ;Lin, SS電子工程學系及電子研究所Sacrificial layer (SACL) coating had been proposed to protect the sealing layer of underlying copper lines during trench etching as via-first scheme is employed for dual-damascene patterning. Because the coated SACL thickness depends on via size and via density, the process window is hard to identify. In this paper, the criteria for a successful SACL process are derived. A four-step procedure for SACL process developing is also proposed. It is suggested that shallow trench depth and medium etch rate selectivity between inter-metal-dielectric and SACL material are preferred. The SACL thickness in via can be adjusted by adjusting the overetching percentage at the SACL breakthrough step so that the criteria are satisfied. The validity of the proposed criteria is proved by the very high yield of via chains with via size ranging from 0.27 to 0.16 mum. It is concluded that the SACL process can be robust and can be employed to reduce the thickness of the capping layer effectively even beyond the 0.13-mum technology node.Item type:Item, Tunneling IPv6 through NAT with Teredo mechanism(2005) ;Huang, SM ;Wu, Q ;Lin, YB ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceTeredo is a service that enables hosts located behind one or more IPv4 NATs to obtain IPv6 connectivity by tunneling packets over IPv4 UDP Under the national IPv6 deployment project in Taiwan, we developed the first Linux-based Teredo service in 2003. In this paper we explain how IPv6 candidates located behind NATs can enlist the help of "Teredo servers" and "Teredo relays" to learn their "global addresses" and to obtain connectivity, and how clients, servers and relays can be organized in Teredo networks. We also describe in details our strategies for implementing Teredo server and Teredo relay under Linux, and show the performance of different Teredo implementations in public domain.
