Item type:Item, Incorporation of quaternary ammonium salts containing different counterions to improve the performance of inverted perovskite solar cells(2017-02) ;Yan, Po-Ruei ;Huang, Wei-Jie ;Yang, Sheng-Hsiung ;光電工程學系Department of PhotonicsIn this research, three quaternary ammonium salts containing different counterions, including tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBABr), tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBABF(4)), and tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate (TBAPF(6)), were incorporated into [6,6]-phenyl-C-61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as electron transporting layer (ETL). These salts-doped PCBM films revealed higher electron mobility and Fermi levels compared with the un-doped one. Better charge transfer at the interface between perovskite and salts-doped PCBM was also obtained from PL quenching experiments. Inverted perovskite solar cells with the configuration of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM + salts/Ag were fabricated, and the J(SC) and FF of devices were significantly enhanced using salts-doped PCBM as ETL. The best device based on TBABF(4)-doped PCBM delivered a power conversion efficiency (PCE) up to 13.41%, which was superior to the one with undoped PCBM layer (PCE = 8.77%). (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. The a and c lattice lengths of the TiOPc reveal a positive correlation with the impedance because of the - stacking distances of TiOPc molecules arrangements. Our results suggest a promising dip coating method to tailor the charge storage capability of TiOPc through controlling the crystal lattice sizes of TiOPc.Item type:Item, PCBM doped with fluorene-based polyelectrolytes as electron transporting layers for improving the performance of planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells(2016) ;Huang, Wei-Jie ;Huang, Pang-Hua ;Yang, Sheng-Hsiung ;光電工程學系Department of PhotonicsWe report a novel fluorene-based polyelectrolyte carrying hexafluorophosphate counterions to dope into PCBM as an electron transporting layer (ETL). Inverted planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells showed improved photovoltaic performance, including short-circuit current density, the fill factor, and power conversion efficiency, compared with the one using pure PCBM as an ETL.Item type:Item, Photochemistry and infrared spectrum of single-bridged diborane(5) anion isolated in solid argon(2016-08-21) ;Liu, Meng-Chen ;Chen, Hui-Fen ;Huang, Wei-Jie ;Chin, Chih-HaoChen, Sian-CongThree-center two-electron bonds are important for understanding electron-deficient molecules. To examine such a molecule, we produced a diborane(5) anion with a single-bridged structure upon electron bombardment during matrix deposition of Ar containing a small proportion of diborane(6). The diborane(5) anion was destroyed upon photolysis at 180, 220, 385, and 450 nm, but not at 532 nm. Moreover, the possible formation of neutral diborane(5) was observed upon photolysis at 385 and 450 nm, whereas neutral diborane(3) was observed upon photolysis at 180 and 220 nm. The observed line wavenumbers, relative intensities, and isotopic ratios of the diborane(5) anion agreed satisfactorily with those predicted by density functional theory calculations at the B3LYP/aug-cc-pVTZ level of theory. Thus, this method produced the boron hydride anion of interest with few other fragments, which enabled us to clearly identify the IR spectrum of the diborane(5) anion. Two different types of WO3, including nanoparticles and nanorods, were prepared by sol-gel process and hydrothermal method, respectively. Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer was inserted between WO3 and perovskite layers to improve charge transfer efficiency and formation of pinhole-free perovskite layer. Besides, the leakage current of the devices containing Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer was significantly suppressed. The optimized device based on WO3 nanoparticles and Cs2CO3/PCBM bilayer showed an open-circuit voltage of 0.84 V, a short-circuit current density of 20.40 mA/cm(2), a fill factor of 0.61, and a power conversion efficiency of 10.49 %, which were significantly higher than those of PSCs without Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer. The results revealed that the combination of WO3 nanomaterials and Cs2CO3/PCBM bilayer provides an effective solution for improving performances of PSCs.
