Transmission electron microscopy examinations indicated that the L-J phase has an orthorhombic structure with lattice parameters a = 0.413 nm, b = 0.254 nm and c = 0.728 nm. The orientation relationship between the L-J phase and the matrix is (100)(L-J)//($($) over bar$$ 011)(m), (010)(L-J)//(1 ($) over bar 1 ($) over bar 1)(m) and (001)(L-J)//(211)(m). The rotation axis and rotation angle between two variants of the L-J phase are [021] and 90 deg. The L-J phase has never been observed in various Cu-Al, Cu-Mn, and Cu-Al-Mn alloy systems before.Item type:Item, PHASE-TRANSITION IN AN FE-23.2AL-4.1NI ALLOY(1992-05-01) ;LIU, TF ;JENG, SC ;WU, CC ;機械工程學系材料科學與工程學系The phase transition in an Fe-23.2 at. pct Al-4.1 at. pct Ni alloy has been investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy. In the as-quenched condition, the microstructure of the alloy is a mixture of (A2 + B2) phases. When the as-quenched alloy is aged at temperatures ranging from 500-degrees-C to 1050-degrees-C, the phase transition sequence is found to be (A2 + B2*) --> (B2 + B2*) --> B2 --> A2, where B2* is also a B2-type phase. It is worthwhile to note that the coexistence of two kinds of ordered B2 phase has not previously been observed by other workers in the Fe-Al-Ni ternary alloy system.Item type:Item, SCALE-INVARIANT AND ORIENTATION-INVARIANT GENERALIZED HOUGH TRANSFORM - A NEW APPROACH(1991) ;JENG, SC ;TSAI, WH ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceThe conventional generalized Hough transform (GHT) is useful for detecting or locating translated 2-dimensional (2D) object shapes. However, a weakness of the conventional GHT is that a brute force approach is usually required to handle shape scaling and rotation, resulting in the use of a 4D Hough counting space (HCS). A new version of the GHT, called scale- and orientation-invariant GHT (SOIGHT), is proposed to remove this weakness. The improvement is based on the use of half lines and circles to replace the displacement vectors used in the conventional GHT for cell value incrementation. The required dimensionality of the HCS for the SOIGHT is reduced to 2D so that the storage and computation requirements for cell value incrementation and maximum detection in the HCS can be reduced effectively. Some experimental results are included to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed SOIGHT.
