Item type:Item, Highly efficient and stable sky blue organic light-emitting devices(2006-09-18) ;Lin, Mei-Fang ;Wang, Lei ;Wong, Wai-Kwok ;Cheah, Kwok-WaiTam, Hoi-LamA highly efficient and stable sky blue organic light-emitting device doped with a sky blue dopant BUBD-1 has been fabricated, achieving an electroluminescence efficiency of 13.2 cd/A and 6.1 lm/W at 20 mA/cm(2) and 6.7 V, with Commission Internationale del'Eclairage coordinates of (0.16, 0.30) and a half-decay lifetime of 1815 h at an initial brightness of 2640 cd/m(2). This performance is one of the best blue devices ever reported without using hole blocking layer or any p or n dopant in hole or electron transport layer. The device achieved an electroluminescence efficiency of 17.1 cd/A and 7.9 lm/W at 20 mA/cm(2). From 112 to 32 010 nits, the CIEx,y coordinates variation was Delta(x,y)<+/-(0.01,0.01), which is superior to common white light organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) that tend to change color with drive conditions. Moreover, the device reached a half-decay t(1/2) lifetime over 40 000 h at an initial luminance of 300 cd/m(2). This result is among the best records of fluorescent white light OLEDs. Doped in the stable diphenyanthracene type of blue host material 2-(methyl)-9,10-di(2-naphthyl)anthrace (MADN), it achieved a luminance yield of 9.1 cd/A at 20 mA/cm(2) with a CIEx,y color coordinate of [0.16, 0.28] and a maximum external quantum efficiency of 4.7%.Item type:Item, Highly efficient blue organic light-emitting devices incorporating a composite hole transport layer(2005-01-01) ;Liao, Chi-Hung ;Lee, Meng-Ting ;Chen, Chin H. ;應用化學系Department of Applied ChemistryOrganic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) incorporating the copper phthalocyanine (CuPc)/N,N'-bis-(1-naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenyl, 1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (NPB) composite hole transport layer (c-HTL) have been fabricated. Under optimal condition, the amino-subsituted distyrlarylene fluorescent dye (DSA-Ph), doped in the stabel diarylanthracene blue host (MADN) achieved a luminance efficiency of 16.2 cd/A with a CIEx,y color coordinate of [0.15, 0.29] at 6.44 V (20 mA/cm(2)), which is one of the best ever reported to date.Item type:Item, Highly efficient deep blue organic electroluminescent device based on 1-methyl-9,10-di(1-naphthyl)anthracene(2006-12-18) ;Ho, Meng-Huan ;Wu, Yao-Shan ;Wen, Shih-Wen ;Lee, Meng-TingChen, Teng-MingThe author have developed 2-methyl-9,10-di(1-naphthyl)anthracene (alpha,alpha-MADN) as an effective wide band gap host material for Forster energy transfer to the unsymmetrical mono(styryl)amine deep blue fluorescent dopant (BD-1). This guest/host emitting system, at the optimal doping concentration of 3%, can also increase the probability of carrier recombination near the hole-transport/emitting layer interface for the blue organic light emitting device which produces electroluminescence efficiencies of 3.3 cd/A and 1.3 lm/W and a deep blue CIEx,y color coordinates of (0.15, 0.13) that are 50% better than those of the traditional beta,beta-isomeric host (MADN) with the same dopant. The device achieved an EL efficiency of 17.1 cd/A and 7.9 lm/W at 20 mA/cm 2 with CIEx,y coordinates of (x=0.29, y=0.41) which was not changed with drive conditions. The white light OLED reached a half-decay t(1/2) lifetime over 40,000 hours at an initial luminance of 300 cd/m(2).Item type:Item, Improved stability of C-545T doped green OLEDs(2005) ;Lee, Meng-Ting ;Liao, Chi-Hung ;Tsai, Chih-Hung ;Chen, Chin-H.應用化學系The stability of C-545T doped green organic electroluminescent device (OLED) has been improved by doping styrylamine derivate, p-bis(p-N,N-diphenyl-aminostyryl)benzene (DSA-Ph) benzene (DSA-Ph) in hole transporting layer, the device configuration abbreviated as BHTL. Compared with the undoped device, the stability of the BHTL device has increased by a factor of 1.3 without affecting the electroluminescence (EL) efficiency of 11 cd/A and color (CIEx,y = 035, 0.61). The enhanced stability is believed to derive from the hole trapping nature of DSA-Ph which can reduce the residual hole carriers in tris(8-hydroquinolinato)aluminum (Alq(3)) and suppress the formation of florescent quencher of Alq(3) cationic species.Item type:Item, Improving the performance of blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting devices using a composite emitter(2009-09-01) ;Chu, Miao-Tsai ;Lee, Meng-Ting ;Chen, Chin H. ;Tseng, Mei-Rurng平面顯示技術碩士學位學程A composite emitter is constructed by doping a carrier-transporting material into a conventional emitter composing of only host and dopant. The transport of carriers from either hole- or electron-transporting layer into the emitter can be promoted through the carrier-transporting material, in particular, when a wide-band-gap host material is used. A blue phosphorescent OLED based on iridium(III)bis((4,6-difluorophenyl)-pyridinate-N,C(2)')-pico-linate (FIrpic) as dopant in the composite emitter achieved a power efficiency of 20 lm/W and a low driving voltage of 4.2 V at 1000 cd/m(2), whose current efficiency at 20 mA/cm(2) was 2.5 times better than that of device using the conventional emitter.
