Item type:Item, Automatic video summary and description(2000) ;Lee, SY ;Lee, ST ;Chen, DY ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceMultimedia technology has been applied to many kinds of applications and the amount of multimedia data is growing dramatically. Especially the usage of digital video data is very popular today. Thus, content-based indexing and retrieval in video is getting more important in the future. In this paper, we investigate an efficient and reasonable solution to describe video contents, and propose an automatic generation of the summary of video contents with as least manual interaction as possible. Based on the summary of video contents, we extract the key features of the summary to represent its content and produce the description of the video content in MPEG-7 format using XML. We illustrate our approach by developing a system that can support content-based browsing and querying on the WWW.Item type:Item, Highly reliable liquid-phase deposited SiO2 with nitrous oxide plasma post-treatment for low temperature processed poly-Si TFT's(1998) ;Yeh, CF ;Chen, DC ;Lu, CY ;Liu, CLee, STLow temperature (similar to 300 degrees C) N2O plasma annealing for liquid-phase deposited (LPD) gate oxide has been proposed for the first time. Physicochemical and electrical characterizations show that the N2O-treated LPD-SiO2 improves breakdown field, interface state density, and Si-rich phenomenon. This novel technology has been also successfully applied to LTP poly-Si TFT's, which reveal excellent characteristics and reliability. It is believed that the N2O plasma post-treatment not only improves the oxide quality, but also passivates the trap states in poly-Si channel.Item type:Item, Highly reliable liquid-phase-deposited SiO2 with nitrous oxide plasma post-treatment for low-temperature-processed polysilicon thin film transistors(2002-10-01) ;Yeh, CF ;Chen, DCH ;Lu, CY ;Liu, CLee, STLow-temperature ( similar to 300 C) N2O-plasma post-treatment for liquid-phase-deposited (LPD) gate oxide has been proposed for the first time. This treatment successfully takes the place of conventional furnace annealing in O-2 ambient. Results of physicochemical and electrical characteristics shock that N2O-plasma post-treated LPD-SiO2 has a high electrical breakdown field and low interface State density. In addition. N2O-plasma treatment also improves the Si-rich phenomenon of LPD-SiO2. From the comparison with pure N2O-plasma oxidation film, LPD-SiO2 with its short re-oxidation time in N2O plasma plays an important role in relieving interfacial stress. Finally, the novel technology is applied to the gate oxide of low-temperature-processed (LTP) polysilicon thin film transistors (poly-Si TFTs). The device performance reveals excellent electrical characteristics, and the reliability shows a satisfactory result. as well as the gate oxide reliability. It is believed that the N2O-plasma post-treatment not only improves the oxide quality, but also effectively passivates the trap states of poly-Si TFTs.Item type:Item, Mechanical behaviours of fully and semi-interpenetrating polymer networks based on epoxy and acrylics(1997-01-01) ;Lin, MS ;Lee, ST ;交大名義發表 ;應用化學系National Chiao Tung UniversityFully interpenetrating polymer networks (fully IPNs) based on diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and ethylene dimethacrylate (EDMA) were prepared using isophronediamine and benzoyl peroxide as curing agents. Semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (semi-IPNs) based on DGEBA and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) were also prepared using the same curing agents. The average activation energies of transition for both these IPNs were calculated from rheometric dynamic spectroscopy (r.d.s.) data, which indicated higher values for the fully IPNs than the corresponding semi-IPNs. The more acrylic the interpenetrating polymer network (both fully and semi-IPNs) contained the lower the activation energy of transition. Broadened tan 6 peaks were observed for compatible materials, implying an enhanced cracking energy absorption. RDS data also revealed a maximum half-width of tan 6 at 30% of EDMA for the fully IPNs and at 25% of HEMA for the semi-IPNs. Beyond these compositions, decreased impact resistance and lower tensile modulus and elongation values were observed for these materials, presumably because of microphase-separation. The authorizations must enforce separation of duty (SoD) constraints to prevent fraud and errors. This work analyzes and defines several duty-conflict relationships among tasks, and designs authorization rules to enforce SoD constraints based on the analysis. A novel authorization model that incorporates authorization rules is then proposed to support the planning of assigning tasks to roles/users, and the run-time activation of tasks. Different from existing work, the proposed authorization model considers the AND/XOR split structures of workflows and execution dependency among tasks to enforce separation of duties in assigning tasks to roles/users. A prototype system is developed to realize the effectiveness of the proposed authorization model. (C) 2003 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
