R. ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyIn the past decade, Taiwan has emerged as the stronghold of worldwide semiconductor manufacturing. Semiconductor technology companies in Taiwan have been investing numerous resources in emerging through-silicon via (TSV) technology research and development (R&D) to keep enhancing their competitive advantages. The aim of this study was to propose a hybrid approach along with the Moore\'s Law migration pattern to more objectively and effectively select such emerging chip interconnect technologies that can further help to strengthen Taiwan\'s semiconductor industry prospects. The fuzzy Delphi method (FDM) and the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) were integrated to construct a decision-making model for evaluating potential TSV technologies. The simple additive weighting (SAW) method was then used to rank and select TSV technology alternatives. The results of the synthetic evaluation indicated that 3D integrated circuit (IC) TSV was of primary interest for Taiwan\'s semiconductor industry in the aspect of TSV technology development, followed by 2.5D TSV interposer (TSI) and 3D silicon (Si) TSV. Furthermore, "technological merits" was shown as the most critical evaluation dimension, and "heterogeneous integration" represented the most important evaluation criterion. The proposed hybrid model may help senior managers of the semiconductor industry or government policy makers to direct R&D and allocate-relevant resources more strategically.Item type:Item, From Evaluation to Improvement: A Close-Loop CSR System for Manufacturing Industry(2018-11-01) ;Yang, Chang-Lin ;Huang, Kai-Ping ;Chiu, Chuang-Chung ;Lee, Yen-Chun科技管理研究所A new concept named CSR (corporate social responsibility) is not only used for enterprise sustainable growth, but also can be taken as a core policy to manufacturing firms. This study aims to develop an evaluation model for analysing and determining the performance of CSR in MPs (manufacturing plants) as well as identifying which indicators should be improved in order for enterprises to increase their CSR performance. The CSR documents and rating indices were first collected and a proposed CSR evaluation model was then established. An empirical case was also presented to validate the feasibility of the proposed model. The analysis results may provide additional references about how best to process CSR improvement in manufacturing sectors.Item type:Item, Fuzzy Modeling for Information Security Management Issues in Cloud Computing(2014-12-01) ;Lin, Grace T. R. ;Lin, Chih-Chieh ;Chou, C. James ;Lee, Yen-Chun科技管理研究所The purpose of this study was to collect key success factors (KSFs) that determine information security management in cloud computing. Through contemporary literature reviews, we emphasized four major aspects: the external dimension, the internal dimension, the technology dimension, and the execution dimension. We used these dimensions to develop a questionnaire for collecting the responses from experts, and then used the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (Fuzzy AHP) to categorize and analyze these responses. The investigations concluded the six major KFSs: authentication, disclosure prevention, encryption, service model, interface, and customer. Different from previous perceptions, information security management in cloud computing emphasizes factors that are more market-oriented. In addition, we explored several important KSFs, such as service model, interface, and customer criteria. These KSFs differed from the factors commonly regarded in the internet age.Item type:Item, Influence Factor Analysis of Medical Device Manufacturing Industry(2016-12) ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;Chou, C. James ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyThe medical device manufacturing industry is an increasingly important pillar of Taiwan\'s economy. As a contribution towards explicitly understanding, Taiwan\'s sustainable development, this study aimed to deploy both the focus group research method and the fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory method (the fuzzy DEMATEL method) for exploring critical influence factors, detecting their influential relationships, and investigating their influential intensity. We found that that manufacturing excellence and innovation competence are the two major critical influence dispatchers in the cause group, while service quality is the major critical influence receiver in the effect group. Moreover, operations and logistics management has very little strength of influence on other factors. The analysis results may potentially provide industrial \'practitioners and government policy makers with additional knowledge about how best to direct research and development in Taiwan\'s medical device manufacturing industry.Item type:Item, Influence on light-induced degradation in Cz-Si PERC cells under light soaking of variant wavelength and intensity(2018-01-01) ;Wu, Ching-Wen ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;Yu, Li-Chieh ;Tsai, Min-AnWu, Hung-SenWe have carried out multiple analysis on the acceleration factors of LID for Cz-Si PERC cells, including temperatures, intensities and wavelengths at 396nmand 969nm. The recovery time of LID at 130 degrees C under 1 SUN shrinks down to 4 hrs and the maximum degradation in Pmax is less than 3 % due the elimination of B-O LID under high carrier-injection. However, it seems that higher intensities couldn't stop the second degradation from happening, indicating the formation of other defects. Therefore, we employ LED light source of different wavelengths and obtain that both maximum degradation of Pmax are quite different. The consequence implies that behavior of LID might be originated from the particular position (penetration depth) where carriers are located.Item type:Item, Observing the Intellectual Landscape and New Developments of Drugs(2016-11) ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;Lin, Grace T. R. ;Hsi, Pang-Hsiang ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyDrug development is a broad research field involving biological therapies, stem cell treatments and tissue engineering. As research in these areas advances rapidly, this study aimed to investigate the thematic patterns, landmark articles and emerging trends in drug development for observing its intellectual landscape through a scientometric analysis. This study aimed to explore a performance evaluation model based on a hybrid fuzzy MCDM approach for Taiwan\'s medical device Manufacturers. The hybrid fuzzy MCDM approach was composed of the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (fuzzy AHP) method and the technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (fuzzy TOPSIS) method, to facilitate industrial practitioners on performance evaluation in a fuzzy environment. The proposed performance evaluation model can also enable government policy makers to better understand the complete evaluation process and provide a more effective decision support tool.Item type:Item, Scientific Innovation of Bioremediation Technologies(2015-04-01) ;Lin, Grace T. R. ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyThis study aimed to identify the major research and development (R&D) trends of bioremediation technologies, as well as to build the core technology category framework through the collection of the United States Patent and Trademark Office\'s (USPTO) patent information. The Patent Co-citation Analysis (PCA) method and the factor analysis technique were applied to categorize the patents of bioremediation and to identify the main technology trends behind it. The result revealed that the major R&D trends comprise the fields of anaerobic degradation, aerobic degradation, anaerobic reductive dechlorination, bioaugmentation, and bioventing. Next, we further applied the fuzzy Delphi method, following former study. results, which were chiefly derived from the aforementioned PCA, in order to investigate and decide upon the most appropriate bioremediation technologies for the case studied country of Taiwan, which had had emergent needs for the benefits of developing novel bioremediation technologies in particular.Item type:Item, Technology Evaluation and Selection of 3DIC Integration Using a Three-Stage Fuzzy MCDM(2016-02-01) ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;Chou, C. R. ;Chang, Sheng-Hung ;Chou, C. J.Hsi, Pang-HsiangSocial capital of a large parent company is a key enabler for corporate spin-offs. However, few studies have been conducted on the interactions between high-technology industries and social capital. A number of new integrated circuit (IC) spin-offs have been established worldwide over the past decade, but the success rate remains low. Hence; the purpose of this paper was to visualize the influence relationship between the dimensions of social capital, and to investigate the importance of social capital factors upon successful IC spin-offs. Data were collected on the number of Taiwanese IC design companies in which the spin-offs must have been operating for at least 5 years and analyzed using the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) and analytic network process (ANP) methods. The results of DEMATEL analysis revealed that the "relational dimension", as the causal dimension, strongly influences all other dimensions, including itself. Second, the results of ANP analysis indicated that the "trust" and "identity" factors within the relational dimension were the most important. This study contributes to research on visualizing influence relationship between social capital dimensions and investigating importance of social capital factors upon successful corporate spin-offs by providing a holistic analysis, and adds knowledge about how to leverage the strengths and resources of a large parent company to increase the likelihood of success of corporate spin-offs.Item type:Item, Visualizing the Knowledge Domain of Nanoparticle Drug Delivery Technologies: A Scientometric Review(2016-01-01) ;Lee, Yen-Chun ;Chen, Chaomei ;Tsai, Xing-Tzu ;外國語文學系交大研究總中心The scientific literature of nanoparticle drug delivery technologies (NDDT) between 2005 and 2014 was reviewed. The visualized co-citation network of its knowledge domain was characterized in terms of thematic concentrations of co-cited references and emerging trends of surging keywords and citations to references through a scientometric review. The combined dataset of 25,171 bibliographic records were constructed through topic search and citation expansion to ensure adequate coverage of the field. While research in gold nanoparticle and magnetic nanoparticle remains the two most prominent knowledge domains in the NDDT field, research related to clinical and therapeutic applications has experienced a considerable growth. In particular, clinical and therapeutic developments in NDDT have demonstrated profound connections with the mesoporous silica nanoparticle research and microcrystal research. A rapid adaptation of mesoporous silica-based nanomaterials and rare earth fluoride nano-/microcrystal in NDDT is evident. Innovative strategies have been employed to exploit the multicomponent, chemical synthesis, surface modification, and controlled release imparting functionalized targeting capabilities. This study not only facilitated the connection of authors and research themes in the NDDT community, but also demonstrated how research interests and trends evolve over time, which greatly contributes to our understanding of the NDDT knowledge domains.
