Item type:Item, A domain-independent software reuse framework based on a hierarchical thesaurus(1998-07-10) ;Liao, HC ;Chen, MF ;Wang, FJ ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceSoftware reuse is an effective way to improve software productivity and quality. Software libraries are getting bigger, while most of them, such as those for object-oriented languages, use Simple but somewhat ineffective classification methods. These libraries typically provide search aids for novices, but not for experts. They are not flexible enough to adequately serve users with different abilities. In this paper, a Software Reuse Framework (SRF) for overcoming these drawbacks is proposed. Based on a built-in hierarchical thesaurus, the classification process can be made semiautomatic. SRF is a domain-independent framework that can be adapted to various libraries. SRF also provides four search levels to serve users with different skill levels. Two sample SRF systems* are implemented, one for Smalltalk-80 and the other for MFC 4.0 (Microsoft(R) Foundation Class) libraries. In the inventory model, shortages are not allowed. The effect of the inflation rate, deterioration rate, initial-stock-dependent consumption rate and delay in payment are discussed. In the study, mathematical models are also derived under two different circumstances, i.e., Case I: The credit period is less than or equal to the cycle time for settling the account; and Case II: The credit period is greater than the cycle time for settling the account. Besides, expressions for an inventory system's total cost are derived for these two cases. Moreover, a computational procedure and GINO (Lasdon et al., ACM Transactions Mathematical Software 4 (1978) 34-50) are proposed to obtain the optimal order size and cycle time. The results can help managers determine the optimal total cost. Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the applicability of the proposed model. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. With the addition of dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), the surface chemistry forms a disordered ZnO phase, and the morphology of the ZnO- DMSA nanorods changes with various DMSA addition times. As evidenced by the Zn-2p3/2, C-1s, O-1s, S-2p, and N-1 s scans of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), DMSA and proteins were conjugated on the single crystalline ZnO nanorods. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra indicated that the optical properties of ZnO nanorod arrays were changed while the DMSA was inserted, and proteins were conjugated. Furthermore, a control test found that the ZnO nanorods show a significant improvement in sensitive characterization over the ZnO film. As another proteins (e. g., human serum albumin, HSA) were bound onto the ZnO- bovine serum albumin (BSA) nanorod arrays, an enhanced ultraviolet emission intensity was detected. On the basis of these results, one might be expected to conjugate specific biomolecules on the biofunctional ZnO nanorod arrays to detect the complementary biomolecules by PL detecting.Item type:Item, Enhanced luminescent and electrical properties of hydrogen-plasma ZnO nanorods grown on wafer-scale flexible substrates(2005-05-02) ;Lin, CC ;Chen, HP ;Liao, HC ;Chen, SY材料科學與工程學系Photoelectronic characteristics are performed in well-aligned hydrogen-plasma ZnO nanorods grown on 4 in. flexible organic substrates buffered with ZnO film. Enhancement of photoluminescence (PL) properties due to H-2 plasma treatment by a factor of 60 times for relative intensity ratio (ultraviolet emission to deep level emission) has been observed. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis reveals that the enhanced PL property is attributed to both defect passivation and modification on the surface region of ZnO nanorods due to the absorption of hydrogen ions. However, the PL spectra of H-2 plasma ZnO nanorods can be restored to the original state of ZnO nanorods by thermal annealing process. The current-voltage measurements suggest that the n-type ZnO nanorods with H-2 plasma treatment present a higher conductivity of about 5-6 orders of magnitude than the nonplasma ZnO nanorods. The optical properties of ZnO nanorods were much improved by annealing at high temperatures in both atmospheres of N-2 and O-2. This improvement was ascribed to the decrease in structure defects as compared to as-grown ZnO nanorods. However, for the ZnO nanorods annealed in H-2/N-2, a stronger UV emission occurs at 600 degrees C; above that the UV emission rapidly disappeared, which was attributed to the collapse of the ZnO nanorods due to H-2 etching during a higher-temperature annealing in H-2/N-2. The crystallinity and optical properties of the ZnO nanorods can be controlled by postannealing treatment.
