Item type:Item, Identifying influential reviewers for word-of-mouth marketing(2010-07-01) ;Li, Yung-Ming ;Lin, Chia-Hao ;Lai, Cheng-Yang ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceThe key to word-of-mouth marketing is to discover the potential influential nodes for efficiently spreading product impressions. In this paper, a framework combined with mining techniques, a modified PMI measure, and an adaptive RFM model is proposed to evaluate the influential power of online reviewers. An artificial neural network is adopted to identify the target reviewers and a well-developed trust mechanism is utilized for effectiveness evaluation. This proposed framework is verified by the data collected from Epinions.com, one of the most popular online product review websites. The experimental results show that the proposed model could accurately identify which reviewers to select to become the influential nodes. This proposed approach can be exploited in effectively carrying out online word-of-mouth marketing, which can save a lot of resources in finding customers. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. Multiple ZigBee wireless sensor modules installed in the environment can detect intruders and abnormal conditions with various sensors, and transmit alert to the monitoring center and security robot via the wireless mesh network. The robot can navigate in the environment autonomously and approach to a target place using its localization system. If any possible intruder is detected, the robot can approach to that location, and transmit images to the mobile devices of the securities and users, in order to determine the exact situation in real time.Item type:Item, Pricing schemes for digital content with DRM mechanisms(2009-11-01) ;Li, Yung-Ming ;Lin, Chia-Hao ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceIn this paper. utilizing game-theoretic model, we examine the impact of collaborative structure, content quality, and network environment on the development of pricing scheme and DRM protection policy of digital content. DRM protection level decreases and pirating activities becomes relatively tolerable as the content provider and platform provider operate collaboratively. Depending on the market structure, higher content quality may strengthen or weaken the adoption of DRM. However, it would seem that, as the network environment becomes more decentralized and uncontrolled, weaker DRM protection should be a better strategy. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
