Item type:Item, Assessing asymmetric response effect of behavioral intention to service quality in an integrated psychological decision-making process model of intercity bus passengers: a case of Taiwan(2008-01-01) ;Lin, Jiun-Hung ;Lee, Tzong-Ru ;Jen, William ;運輸與物流管理系 註:原交通所+運管所Department of Transportation and Logistics ManagementThis study introduces the concept of loss aversion to consumer behavioral intention at the personal psychological level to develop an integrative structural equation model for analyzing traveler psychological decision making. In this model, the relationship between behavioral intention and service quality is a non-smooth function based on the theory of loss aversion. The expectation service quality in the SERVQUAL model proposed by Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry (PZB) serves as a reference point. This model can be applied to analyze the effect of non-smooth response of behavioral intention to service quality in a traveler psychological decision-making process model. Intercity travel among cities in Taiwan is used as an empirical example. Data were gathered in cities in Taiwan via a questionnaire survey, and the model was tested using path analysis performed by LISREL. The empirical result shows that all causal relationships are statistically significant. Service quality loss influences repurchase intention more than does Service quality gain. Finally, this study concludes by discussing managerial implications and suggesting directions for future research.Item type:Item, Design of a finger base-type pulse oximeter(2016-01-01) ;Lin, Bor-Shyh ;Huang, Cheng-Yang ;Chen, Chien-Yue ;Lin, Jiun-Hung影像與生醫光電研究所A pulse oximeter is a common medical instrument used for noninvasively monitoring arterial oxygen saturation (SpO(2)). Currently, the fingertip-type pulse oximeter is the prevalent type of pulse oximeter used. However, it is inconvenient for long-term monitoring, such as that under motion. In this study, a wearable and wireless finger base-type pulse oximeter was designed and implemented using the tissue optical simulation technique and the Monte Carlo method. The results revealed that a design involving placing the light source at 135 degrees-165 degrees and placing the detector at 75 degrees-90 degrees or 90 degrees-105 degrees yields the optimal conditions for measuring SpO(2). Finally, the wearable and wireless finger base-type pulse oximeter was implemented and compared with the commercial fingertip-type pulse oximeter. The experimental results showed that the proposed optimal finger base-type pulse oximeter design can facilitate precise SpO(2) measurement. The minimization and practicality of sensors, as well as the efficiency and stability of computers make simulation control system in medical instruments become the most important part of developing items. The relevant subject of course, virtual biomedical instrumentations (VBI), which combined with computer science, electrical engineering, and medical science, has become a major developing course in biomedical education. Cross-disciplinary research needs experts in different areas and most cross-disciplinary schools cannot afford it. So it requires integration and cooperation between schools. To address this issue, a graduated course has been designed to provide an opportunity for all professions in each field to discuss and share their resources on an e-learning platform. With the progress of the project, VBI course integrates biomedical education resources from north to south colleges to reduce the request of manpower for cross-disciplinary course of biomedical. In addition, VBI courses initiate the cooperation between academic community and industry.Item type:Item, Validate Service Quality Measurement for City Bus through Simulation Technique(2018-01-01) ;Lin, Jiun-Hung ;運輸與物流管理系 註:原交通所+運管所Department of Transportation and Logistics ManagementIn previous research on the quality of city bus service, through a statistical three-step cross-validation-based measurement model competing procedure, Lin's short-version BUSQUAL model demonstrated statistical stability and better model fitness than Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry's (PZB's in short) SERVQUAL scale and Jen and Hu's SERVQUAL scale for city bus. However, stability in the statistical cross-validation-based procedure means statistical indifference. The estimated results of original sample and the cross-validated sample still have a minor difference and imply uncertainty. A simulation-based analysis that is a powerful tool to analyze a model with uncertainty and can provide more convincing evidence for the stability of the measurement model is absent and is an important issue to be studied. Therefore, this research launches a Bayes-based Monte Carlo simulation analysis procedure using a Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm and prior distribution information to validate the stability of Lin's short-version BUSQUAL. The result of the study indicates that Lin's short-version BUSQUAL model with 14 items and four factors displays stability and therefore offers a stable and reliable approach for measuring the service quality of city bus.
