Today, crowdfunding platforms have also become popular, and charities often use these to fundraise. However, they rarely utilize the power of social networking to assist a fundraiser in discovering potential donors, and this is especially true for small organizations and individuals. In this research, we propose a recommendation mechanism for social fundraising that analyzes the donor's preferences, the relationship between the donor and fundraiser, and the characteristics of the fundraising dynamics to promote the spread of philanthropic fundraising. The proposed mechanism can effectively discover appropriate donors and relevant campaigns to expedite the fundraising process and improve its success rate.Item type:Item, A Social Recommendation Mechanism for Crowdfunding(2017-01-01) ;Li, Yung-Ming ;Liou, Jyh-Hwa ;Li, Yi-Wen ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceIn recent years, a new kind of fund-raising mode crowdfunding, is gradually arising. Recently, these plentiful user-generated data sources have been utilized promisingly by enterprises for product creation. In this research, we propose a social intelligence mechanism that can extract and consolidate the reviews expressed via social media and derive insights (product feature specification and feature importance) to help enterprises make decisions on developing next-generation products by analyzing the reviewers\' knowledge and authority and their opinion sentiment toward the target products. The experimental results obtained using Epinions.com show that the proposed mechanism outperforms other benchmark approaches in market trend prediction and customer acceptance. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. However, coupon redemption rates are unacceptable to venders. The important factor driving coupon receivers to redeem mobile coupons is an understanding of them. The purpose of this study is to propose a new social coupon endorsing mechanism, which aims to identify those endorsers who have coupon proneness and a high sharing willingness for coupon diffusion, with a recommended list of coupon receivers. Our experimental results show that our proposed mechanism effectively propagates mobile coupon or discount information by helping consumers to more efficiently gather coupons which fit their preferences and location, and to save money. It also helps vendors propagate mobile coupons to the target consumers in an efficient way.
