Item type:Item, Combining DEMATEL and ANP with the Grey Relational Assessment Model for Improving the Planning in Regional Shopping Centers(2010) ;Chen, Vivien Y. C. ;Liu, Chui-Hua ;Tzeng, Gwo-Hshiung ;Lee, Ming-HueiYang, Lung-ShihA novel MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision-Making) for evaluating, comparing and improving the effectiveness of network-competence indicators in various needs that is choice for environment plan at the primary regional shopping center level. The ANP (Analytic Network Process) weights are based on a DEMATEL (Decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory) technique along with a grey relational assessment model to solve the problems of interdependence and feedback to evaluate and improve the gaps in each criterion for reducing the gaps to achieve the aspired/desired level. An empirical case is used to demonstrate that the hybrid MCDM model can be used to measure and evaluate regional shopping center problems in real cases. Results can be used to provide the decision-maker to choice the regional shopping center location. The proposed model can help practitioners improve their decision process, especially when criteria are numerous and inter-related. The data from a Taiwanese regional shopping centers is used to demonstrate this model.Item type:Item, Fuzzy MCDM approach for selecting the best environment-watershed plan(2011-01-01) ;Chen, Vivien Y. C. ;Lien, Hui-Pang ;Liu, Chui-Hua ;Liou, James J. H.Tzeng, Gwo-HshiungIn the real word, the decision-making problems are very vague and uncertain in a number of ways. Most of the criteria have interdependent and interactive features, so they cannot be evaluated by conventional measure method. Such as the feasibility, thus, to approximate the human subjective evaluation process, it would be more suitable to apply a fuzzy method in the environment-watershed plan topic. This paper describes the design of a fuzzy decision support system in multi-criteria analysis approach for selecting the best plan alternatives or strategies in environment watershed. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method is used to determine the preference weightings of criteria for decision makers by subjective perception (natural language). A questionnaire was used to find out from three related groups comprising 15 experts, including 5 from the university of expert scholars (include Water Resources Engineering and Conservation, Landscape and Recreation, Urban Planning, Environment Engineering, Architectural Engineering, etc.), 5 from the government departments, and 5 from industry. Subjectivity and vagueness analysis is dealt with the criteria and alternatives for selection process and simulation results by using fuzzy numbers with linguistic terms. It incorporated the decision-makers' attitude towards the preference; overall performance value of each alternative can be obtained based on the concept of fuzzy multiple-criteria decision-making (FMCDM). This research also gives an example of evaluation consisting of five alternatives, solicited from an environment-watershed plan work in Taiwan, is illustrated to demonstrate the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed approach. The result is useful for destination planning and the sustainability of watershed tourism resources as well. The corresponding purpose of this study is to address this problem, using the method of hybrid MCDM (multiple criteria decision-making) to examine the dependent relationships among various dimensions and criteria of tourism policies and, ultimately, to suggest an optimal improvement plan for Taiwan tourism policy. A decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is employed to construct a network relationship map (NRM), which then is used to illustrate the influential network of the tourism policy improvement model. The DEMATEL-based analytic network process (DANP) and VIKOR are adopted to evaluate the weights and the gaps to the aspired level of implementation. The model is useful in identifying both an influential network and a priority sequence of dimensions/criteria related to tourism policies and, thus, is helpful to tourism policy management. However, few studies have discussed this issue or proposed strategies to help improve sales for travel agencies. The purpose of this study is to address this problem, using the novel method of hybrid multiple criteria decision making, including decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL), the DEMATEL-based analytic network process and VIKOR (VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje), to present optimal improvement models, which are superior in identifying both an influential network and a priority sequence of dimensions/criteria related to selling cruises. The findings provide useful schemes for decision makers according to the priorities of influential weightings from high to low or the sequence of gap values to aspired level from low to high.Item type:Item, Using a Hybrid MCDM Model Combining Fuzzy DEMATEL Technique to Examine the Job Stress of Coach Driver(2012) ;Liu, Chui-Hua ;Tzeng, Gwo-Hshiung ;Lee, Ming-Huei ;Tseng, Hao-LinLee, Po-YanIn the competitive travel-transport field of coach tourism, coach drivers are far more commercially sensitive and susceptible to job stress than common bus drivers or professional drivers. However, few studies have discussed this issue or proposed strategies for alleviating job stress for coach drivers. The purpose of this study is to address the problem of job stress, using fuzzy MCDM (multiple criteria decision making) to examine the relationships between the various aspects of coach driver job stress and, ultimately, to suggest an optimal improvement plan according to the network relationship map (NRM).
