Item type:Item, A gate-free monolayer WSe2 pn diode(2018-08-07) ;Chen, Jhih-Wei ;Lo, Shun-Tsung ;Ho, Sheng-Chin ;Wong, Sheng-ShongVu, Thi-Hai-YenInterest in bringing p- and n-type monolayer semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) into contact to form rectifying pn diode has thrived since it is crucial to control the electrical properties in two-dimensional (2D) electronic and optoelectronic devices. Usually this involves vertically stacking different TMDs with pn heterojunction or, laterally manipulating carrier density by gate biasing. Here, by utilizing a locally reversed ferroelectric polarization, we laterally manipulate the carrier density and created a WSe2 pn homojunction on the supporting ferroelectric BiFeO3 substrate. This non-volatile WSe2 pn homojunction is demonstrated with optical and scanning probe methods and scanning photoelectron microspectroscopy. A homo-interface is a direct manifestation of our WSe2 pn diode, which can be quantitatively understood as a clear rectifying behavior. The non-volatile confinement of carriers and associated gate-free pn homojunction can be an addition to the 2D electron-photon toolbox and pave the way to develop laterally 2D electronics and photonics.Item type:Item, A New Iterative Algorithm for Finding the Minimum Sampling Frequency of MultiBand Signals(2010-10-01) ;Lin, Yuan-Pei ;Liu, Yi-De ;Phoong, See-May ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringIn this correspondence, we propose a new iterative algorithm for finding the minimum sampling frequency of a signal that consists of multiple bandpass signals. This finds important application in software radio where it is desirable to downconvert multiple bandpass signals simultaneously. We will derive a new set of conditions for alias-free sampling. The minimum sampling frequency can be found by iteratively increasing the sampling frequency to meet the alias-free conditions. We will show how the algorithm can be generalized to find alias-free sampling frequency intervals. Simulations will be given to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method.Item type:Item, A New Iterative Algorithm for Finding the Minimum Sampling Frequency of MultiBand Signals(2010-10-01) ;Lin, Yuan-Pei ;Liu, Yi-De ;Phoong, See-May ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringIn this correspondence, we propose a new iterative algorithm for finding the minimum sampling frequency of a signal that consists of multiple bandpass signals. This has important application in software radio where it is desirable to downconvert multiple bandpass signals simultaneously. We will derive a new set of conditions for alias-free sampling that can be checked with few computations. The minimum sampling frequency can be found by iteratively increasing the sampling frequency to meet the alias-free conditions. We will demonstrate that the proposed method has a much lower complexity than previously reported algorithms.Item type:Item, FINDING THE MINIMUM SAMPLING FREQUENCY OF MULTI-BRAND SIGNALS: AN EFFICIENT ITERATIVE ALGORITHM(2010) ;Lin, Yuan-Pei ;Liu, Yi-De ;Phoong, See-May ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringIn this paper, we propose an efficient iterative algorithm for finding the minimum sampling frequency for a signal that consists of multiple bandpass signals. This finds important application in software radio where it is desirable to down-convert multiple bandpass signals simultaneously. We will derive a new set of conditions for alias-free sampling for signals that contain multi-band signals. The conditions can be easily examined with few computations.
