Item type:Item, Environmental Strategic Orientations for Improving Green Innovation Performance in Fuzzy Environment - Using New Fuzzy Hybrid MCDM Model(2013-09-01) ;Lu, Ming-Tsang ;Tzeng, Gwo-Hshiung ;Tang, Ling-Lang ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceThe effects of environmental strategic orientation toward green innovation for promoting the firm's performance and increasing the business competitive advantage are continuing to garner much attention. As the electronics industry attempts to integrate environmental practices and move in the direction of environmental sustain ability, managers should consider to extending their efforts for enhancing environmental practices, green product and process designs by using their strategic orientations on green innovation in network relationship problems. However, few studies have discussed this issue or proposed strategic orientations to help improve green innovation performance in fuzzy environment. The purpose of this study is to address this problem, using the novel method of new fuzzy hybrid MCDM (multiple criteria decision-making), including new fuzzy DEMATEL (fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory), fuzzy DANP (fuzzy DEMATEL-based ANP) and VIKOR, to examine the interdependent and feedback problems among various dimensions/criteria of environmental strategic orientations. An empirical case of electronics industry as example is illustrated to show the proposed new methods and ultimately to present the best improvement strategies for decision-makers to achieve aspiration level.Item type:Item, Exploring smart phone improvements based on a hybrid MCDM model(2014-07-01) ;Hu, Shu-Kung ;Lu, Ming-Tsang ;Tzeng, Gwo-Hshiung ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceIn recent years, the smart phone equipped with advanced mobile applications such as convenient and easy access to the Internet has become an essential tool for the multitasking era, recently termed the M-era. How we can understand customers' needs and gaps and subsequently satisfy these needs and lessen these gaps by creating a high value-added product to enhance customer satisfaction and increase the benefits to, and the competitive advantage of, enterprises? This study proposes a smart phone improvement for promoting the product value to satisfy the customers' needs with a hybrid MCDM model, which combines the DANP (DEMATEL-based ANP) and VIKOR. The DANP can establish an influential network relation map (INRM) to analyze interrelationship among dimensions/criteria by using the DEMATEL technique and then can measure the influential weights by combining the basic concept of the ANP. Furthermore, the VIKOR combining the influential weights in each criterion can integrate into each dimensional and overall evaluation based on the INRM to improve the gaps for achieving aspiration level and can enhance their competitive advantage in the smart phone market by lessening the gaps related to mobile convenience, thus creating a high value-added mobile phone product. In the healthcare industry, the decision to adopt RFID technology is a problem requiring a multi-criteria decision analysis that involves both qualitative and quantitative factors. The evaluation of this decision may be based on imprecise information or uncertain data. Furthermore, there can be significant dependence and feedbacks between the different criteria and alternatives. However, most conventional decision models cannot capture these complex interrelationships. As a result, in this study we develop a general evaluation framework for industry evaluation, improvement and adoption of RFID. We use a hybrid Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method known as DDANPV that combines DEMATEL (decision making trial and evaluation laboratory), DANP (DEMATEL-based ANP), and VIKOR to evaluate the factors that influence the adoption of RFID. Specifically, we study the adoption of RFID in Taiwan's healthcare industry. We find that technology integration is the most influential criterion and the strongest driver in the adoption of RFID of Taiwan's healthcare industry. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
