Item type:Item, A performance evaluation model by integrating fuzzy AHP and fuzzy TOPSIS methods(2010-12-01) ;Sun, Chia-Chi ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyMultiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) research has developed rapidly and has become a main area of research for dealing with complex decision problems. The purpose of the paper is to explore the performance evaluation model. This paper develops an evaluation model based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and the technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution, fuzzy TOPSIS, to help the industrial practitioners for the performance evaluation in a fuzzy environment where the vagueness and subjectivity are handled with linguistic values parameterized by triangular fuzzy numbers. The proposed method enables decision analysts to better understand the complete evaluation process and provide a more accurate, effective, and systematic decision support tool. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. R. ;Sun, Chia-Chi ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyIndustrial clusters have received considerable attention from economists and industrial analysts. The main purpose of this paper is to contribute to the understanding of the driving forces behind the growth of industrial clusters. Another core viewpoint anchored in this paper is that national competitive advantages can be achieved by industrial clusters. We examine the impacts of and determine the relationships among different driving forces. Taiwan's Hsinchu Science Park, because of its connection with innovative participators, is a prime example for this paper. This research adopts the Decision MakingTrial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) as the main analytical tool. Our research results show that local demand conditions and factor conditions (which are specialised factors of production such as skilled labour, capital and information infrastructure) are the main causal driving forces for advancing Taiwan's industrial cluster performance. This paper concludes by discussing managerial implications for industry and government.Item type:Item, Factors influencing satisfaction and loyalty in online shopping: an integrated model(2009) ;Lin, Grace T. R. ;Sun, Chia-Chi ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyPurpose - Taking into consideration external (technology acceptance factors, website service quality) as well as internal (specific holdup cost) factors, this paper aims to explore how internet customer satisfaction and loyalty can be associated with each other and how they are affected by these dynamics. Design/methodology/approach - This study adopts structural equation modelling (SEM) as the main analytical tool. It investigates the shopping experiences of users of the major shopping websites of Taiwan. Findings - The research results point to the following. first, customer e-satisfaction will positively influence customer e-loyalty directly; second, technology acceptance factors will positively influence customer e-satisfaction and e-loyalty directly; third, website service quality can positively influence customer e-satisfaction and e-loyalty directly; and fourth, specific holdup cost can positively influence customer e-loyalty directly, but cannot positively influence customer e-satisfaction directly. Originality/value - This paper draws on the research results for implications for shopping website management and design, then suggests some ways to enhance performance for the website shopping industry.Item type:Item, The evaluation of cluster policy by fuzzy MCDM: Empirical evidence from HsinChu Science Park(2009-11-01) ;Sun, Chia-Chi ;Lin, Grace T. R. ;Tzeng, Gwo-Hshiung ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyIn the recent years, industrial clusters have received considerable attention from economists and industrial analysts, because they are seen as the main reason for economic growth and success of certain economic region. This study systematically reviews past researches of industrial cluster. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the understanding of this issue regarding the driving forces for the growth of industrial cluster and find out the priority among these cluster policies. Taiwan Hsinchu Science Park is a prime example for this paper, and its connection with the innovative participators. We begin with an examination of the literature on cluster about its driving forces and policies upon which we propose a conceptual framework. in doing so, we explore the cluster-based industrial system. Then this research adopts the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process as the analytical tool. The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method is used to determine the weightings for evaluation dimension among decision makers. From our research results, the Factor Conditions is the most important driving force for advancing the industrial cluster performance. Moreover, the promotion of international linkages policy and broader framework policies rank the first two priorities for cluster policy. Overall, this paper concludes with some simulations of cluster policy alternatives confronting the industry and the Taiwanese government. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. R. ;科技管理研究所Institute of Management of TechnologyTaking into consideration technology acceptance factors, website service quality and specific holdup cost factors, this research explores how shopping websites to establish their competitive advantages through these dimensions. We begin with an examination of the literature on shopping websites about its competitive advantages upon which we propose a conceptual framework. Then this research adopts the fuzzy TOPSIS as the analytical tool that determines the weights of each criterion. Fuzzy theory provides a proper tool to encounter with uncertainties and complex environment. The purpose of this paper is to use the fuzzy TOPSIS method based on fuzzy sets in solving MCDM problems. From our research results, the security and trust are the most important factors for improving the competitive advantage of shopping website. Moreover, the PCHome and Yahoo Taiwan rank the first two positions for shopping websites. This paper draws on the research results for implications of managerial practice, and then suggests some empirical tactics in order to enhance management performance for the website shopping industry.
