Item type:Item, A novel switching strategy for FOC motor drive using multi-dimensional feedback quantization(2012-02-01) ;Chen, Keng-Yuan ;Hu, Jwu-Sheng ;Tang, Chi-Him ;Shen, Te-Yang電機工程學系This work proposes a new switching strategy for field oriented control of motor driver to minimize the power of filtered error. By modifying pulse-width resolution and system operating frequency, the switching number is reduced without sacrificing the speed performance. Noise shaping induced by different sampling rates is analyzed. Conventional space vector pulse width modulation is shown to be a special case of the proposed strategy. Another case with zero-bit pulse-width resolution, MDFQM, is proposed. Experimental results show that MDFQM can reduce switching number and heat dissipation of transistors. This property enhances the control efficiency, reliability and durability of power stage. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. The instantaneous output voltages of the VSI, which are called space vectors, can be classified according to the switching states of the VSI. By applying the eigenspace decomposition of the system matrix, the n-phase VSI control problem can be solved analytically. This analysis leads to a switching strategy that uses the fewest space vectors and minimum total conduction time. This yields a minimum switching number and efficient dc supply utilization. Further, the switching strategy of a multilevel multiphase VSI system can be solved based on the switching strategy of a two-level multiphase VSI. Simulations and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.Item type:Item, Control of Voltage Source Inverter Using Multidimensional Feedback Quantization Modulator(2011-07-01) ;Hu, Jwu-Sheng ;Chen, Keng-Yuan ;Shen, Te-Yang ;Tang, Chi-Him電控工程研究所This paper describes a novel switching signal generator for three-phase voltage source inverters. Unlike conventional space-vector pulsewidth modulation (SVPWM) which achieves three-phase input voltage by a combination of the basic space vectors, the proposed scheme produces optimal switching commands to minimize the filtered measure of quantization error. Under specific selections of the filter matrix and the quantization scheme, it is shown that the proposed modulator is equivalent to SVPWM. An experimental platform is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. It is shown that the switching number of the proposed method is reduced without sacrificing the harmonic distortion within the input frequency band under various reference signals.Item type:Item, GLOVE PUPPET MANIPULATING SYSTEM(2010-04-15) ;HU, Jwu-Sheng ;Wang, Jyun-Ji ;Sun, Guan-QunTang, Chi-HimA glove puppet manipulating system comprises a control module for generating control signals base on movements of human hand and a robot electrically connecting the control module installed inside a glove puppet. The robot has a body manipulating apparatus disposed on a foundation to manipulate the body of the glove puppet to rotate, a pair of hand manipulating apparatuses disposed on the body manipulating apparatus to manipulate the hands of the glove puppet to swivel, and a head manipulating apparatus interposed between the hand manipulating apparatuses on the body manipulating apparatus to manipulate the head of the glove puppet to nod.
