The developed design concept is focused on electric machine structure and its counterpart drive for applying two main magnetic-power transmitting paths by combination of both features of magnetic tendencies of flux generation that may flow in the path with minimum reluctance and direction owning the electromagnetic motive attraction. The verifications demonstrate that the outputted torque owns effective improvement by the presented concept of the electric machine based on the equivalent 3-hp frame than the conventional brushless motors. The concept of dynamically sensing mechanism, including the vibrating and moving devices, proposed herein is a simple and effective way to improve the precision of three-dimension location sensing for the underground utilities. Based on the primary magnetism of Lenz's law and Faraday's law, the functions of the amplifying effect for the sensing magnetic signals, as well as the distinguishing effect by the simple filtering algorithms embedded in processing programs, are achieved while the relatively strong noise exists. The verification results of these integration designs demonstrate the effectiveness both by precise locating for the buried utility, and accurate measurement for the depth. (C) 2006 Elsevier B. V. This approach converts normal open (NO) and normal close (NC) contacts in the LD into Petri net transitions, and converts devices (e.g. relay coils) in the LD into Petri net places. This study introduces the concepts of composite transitions, composite places, and relevant state to reduce complexity and increase readability of Petri nets for constructing abstract models. The current study constructing diagnosis of fault modeling, introduces simple matrix manipulation and the difference output vector (DOV) to determine the faulty area for diagnosis in the ladder diagram. An LD controller example demonstrates the usable approach.Item type:Item, Design and control strategy applying the novel highly effective magnetic flux coupling (HEMFC) scheme for a non-contact power transfer system(2006-09-01) ;Chen, Wan-Pei ;Huang, Wen-Nan ;Chen, Po-Shen ;Fan, Tsun-YaoChen, Mu-PingIn this paper, the novel design concept for highly effective magnetic flux coupling (HEMFC) schemes, based on enhancement of path guiding effect for leakage flux transmitting, is proposed for a non-contact power transfer system. Two implementation techniques are presented herein utilizing simple structure opinions of specific slant air gap as well as adding of metal bushing components. Both simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the improvement of magnetic coupling ratio and overall system efficiency are achieved by applying the two HEMFC schemes as the power transmitting devices. The inductance profile is an important parameter hearing on the performance of a SR motor. The main strategy of the presented methodology is to combine the standard circuit topology analysis results and machine's equivalent model to find B dynamic measurement method for the inductance related magnetization characteristics. The capacitors in series or parallel connection to the SR machine phase inductance are the key components to construct the applicable LC circuit analysis model. Besides, this method owns the capability that being easy to be extended to estimate the incremental inductance for further performance prediction. The measurement results of two SR motors taken into verification both demonstrate the effectiveness of this method under dynamic operation condition while comparing to the conventionally off-line static measurement.Item type:Item, Intelligent Control of High-Speed Sensorless Brushless DC Motor for Intelligent Automobiles(2008) ;Wen, Jung-Sheng ;Wang, Chi-Hsu ;Chang, Ying-De ;Teng, Ching-Cheng電控工程研究所For the last decade, the need for electric driven vehicle has risen rapidly due to the global warming problem. A high efficient motor need to be developed to replace traditional engine. In this paper, the authors present a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for sensorless brushless dc (BLDC) motor. The proposed FLC is based on the terminal voltage measurement as the sensorless method for BLDC motor control. There are two modules designed in the speed control of BLDC motor, i.e. command and regulating modules. Command module is to find and issue commutation period and PWM duty cycle to the BLDC motor for desired speed. The regulating module is designed by applying a FLC with sensorless tenchnology and is used to regulate the speed of BLDC motor under various disturbances, such as loading effect. Two resistances are adopted to detect the zero-crossing point (ZCP) of back-EMF signal on the unexcited phase instead of using the expensive Hall sensors. The regulating module can regulate accurately and quickly the PWM duty cycle by fuzzy reasoning which makes the BLDC motor rotate smoothly at desired rotation speed even there exists an external disturbance. In order to reduce the computational load of realtime FLC for the microcontroller C8051F330, we can perform the FLC computation off-line to cover nearly all cases. These data will be recorded and organized as a Look-Up Table (LUT). This paper shows that a regulating module designed by FLC is better than a none regulation module or a regulating module with a P controller.
