Item type:Item, A framework for scalable cloud video recorder system in surveillance environment(2012) ;Lin, Chia-Feng ;Yuan, Shyan-Ming ;Leu, Muh-Chyi ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng資訊工程學系In recent years, video surveillance industry has encountered huge evolution. First, the IP based video cameras are gradually replacing the market share of Closed-circuit television (CCTV). Second, hardware and software based network video record come to market to support more amounts of camera sources. However, pure NVR hardware or software which is installed on single physical machine may reach maximum storage or throughput limitation due to predefined resource limitation. In this paper, we proposed a prototype of cloud based video recorder system under Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) abstraction layer in cloud computing domain. This system provides scalable video recording, backup and monitoring features. Furthermore, this system was implemented using Hadoop distributed file system to store video streaming. In this way, Map / Reduce mechanism could be used to support intelligent video analysis tasks. The paper shares a good experience while design unlimited resource video recording system.Item type:Item, A Hadoop based Web log Analysis System(2014-01-01) ;Wang, Chen-Hau ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng ;Fan, Chia-Chen ;Yuan, Shyan-Ming資訊工程學系In recent years, cloud computing has been an important issue in the Field of research. Cloud computing employs distributed storage and distributed computing technology to achieve a large number of stored data, as well as fast data analysis and processing. As the rapid development of Internet technology, digital data showing explosive growth, the face of massive data processing, the traditional text software and relational database technology has been facing a bottleneck, presented the results are not very satisfactory. For this problem, the concept of cloud computing is a more appropriate choice. In this paper, based on the architecture of Hadoop with HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) and Hadoop NlapRecluce software framework and Pig Latin language, we design and implement an enterprise Web log analysis system. Experimental results, by analyzing daily Web log records, we get Application Server traffic trends, performance of program statistical reports, and performance reports of different intervals and different actions of program by user request. The main purpose of this system is to assist system administrators to quickly capture and analyze data hidden in the massive potential value, thus providing an important basis for business decisions.Item type:Item, Big Data:Open Data and Realty Website Analysis(2015) ;Chen, Zhen-Hua ;Chou, Shing-Hua ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng ;Chern, JohnYuan, Shyan-MingCurrently, people obtained housing information from relatives, friends, sale representatives from model home, Realty networks, or government. It is difficult to get the housing-related information from these resources and hard to compare. Therefore, we proposed a public inquiry website called Housing Price Analysis using information from public websites to do statistical analyses based on the total ratio of "average value" and "standard deviation". People can use this website to get better understanding of price trend in certain area. This website will compare all records on public realty websites and government system based on same area with similar size of houses, number of rooms, age of house, etc. By using this system, users can get better understanding the trend of housing prices.Item type:Item, Constructing Private Cloud Storage Using Network Attatched Storage(2012-01-01) ;Hsu, Wen-Feng ;Luo, Guo-Heng ;Yuan, Shyan-Ming ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng資訊工程學系Human has entered the "cloud age" today; many resources can be put into cloud for further using and exploit. However, putting confidential data or private data to the public cloud has the security issue. Moreover, the construction cost of typical cloud storage is too high and need a lot of management effort of hardware, which is not affordable by person, SOHO and small companies. They need low cost but robust solution to build their private cloud. Thus, in this paper, a low cost, flexible, and recoverable private cloud storage system using NAS is proposed. Two core techniques named "migration" and "cell recovery" for enhancing the flexibility and recoverability are introduced and evaluated. The results show that the system is practicable.Item type:Item, Minimizing electromagnetic pollution and power consumption in green heterogeneous small cell network deployment(2017-12-24) ;Lin, Chun-Cheng ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng ;Deng, Der-Jiunn ;Tsai, I-HsinJhong, Shun-YuAn enormously increasing number of mobile communications devices and IoT sensors have driven rapid advance in wireless and cellular network technologies. Owing to limited energy resources, 5G technology has been expected to be designed as a 'green' network system. To achieve the requirement of future 'green' 5G networks to serve a huge number of mobile devices, this work investigates the problem of deployment and sleep control of a 'green' heterogeneous cellular network along a highway composed of base stations (BSs), legacy relay stations (RSs), and small cells (SCs), with two objectives: minimizing the energy consumption to decrease the impact of limited energy; as well as minimizing the electromagnet pollution from radiation of the three device types to avoid the potential harm to creatures. For decision variables, the deployment and sleep control of legacy RSs and SCs affect the total power consumption, and their coverage affects the total electromagnet pollution. First, this work creates a mathematical model for the optimization problem, and then proposes a hybrid algorithm of genetic algorithm (GA) and differential evolution (DE) with three local search operators to solve the problem, in which GA and DE can effectively handle discrete and continues decision variables, respectively. Simulation of the concerned green cellular networks verifies performance of the proposed algorithm. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. The client-server architecture is usually adopted for the basic architecture of online auction systems. However, the client/server architecture usually causes the problems of bandwidth bottleneck and insufficient storage spaces. Therefore, we propose to replace the client/server architecture of traditional online auction systems to P2P architecture for distributing the loading and storage requirement to peers by sellers and buyers. Also, OpenID is exploited to be integrated into our system so that users do not have to remember multiple accounts and passwords. In this paper, the design of an OpenID integrated P2P auction system is proposed. Also, the comparison of our system design and other related P2P auction systems will be discussed.Item type:Item, Regenerating Code Based P2P Storage Scheme with Caching(2009) ;Chen, Yu-Liang ;Li, Guang-Ming ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng ;Yuan, Shyan-MingChiao, Hsin-TaHigh data availability is an important feature of P2P storage system. Erasure coding is a common method employed to support the property. But the technique requires an original file to produce redundant data. On the contrary Regenerating Code, without maintaining the original file, solves the problem through collecting encoded information in a distributed way. However, there is a drawback in this method; that is, encoding needs more peers to get involved in order to obtain good information, which is a harsh condition in a P2P environment due to the requirement of keeping more peers alive simultaneously to hold the file blocks. On the condition that the system did not need to store a replica, we recorded the information of peers which have accessed files recently and utilized the data which have been accessed last in the LRU cache of the peer to improve the access performance and reduce the encoding cost. Through simulation, we experimented with different cache sizes under various peer availability. The results showed that our scheme can successfully improve at least 83 percent of the access performance and lower the cost of Regenerating Code when a file is divided into 7 blocks and the cache size is 64 file blocks.Item type:Item, UCS - A Unified Cloud Storage Integration Service(2017-01-01) ;Chang, Che-Pin ;Chiao, Hsin-Ta ;Chang, Yue-Shan ;Tsai, Ching-TsorngYuen, Kuo-KaiAlthough cloud storage integration services have been developed in recent years that providing a single interface to manage multiple cloud storage accounts across different providers, these cloud storage integration services still remain several issues that do not address. First, because these services do not support arrangement mechanisms for users, they need to keep track of which account they want to upload files to and arrange their storage spaces manually. Second, since each account is divided into different sections, it is impossible to provide a virtual folder that contains files from different cloud storage providers. In addition, when all accounts are nearly full, integration services could not chunk a file to store it across multiple accounts. Third, uploading and moving files across accounts are always done through the integration service's server, which might become a bottleneck when there are a lot of users uploading files at the same time. In this paper, we propose a new cloud storage integration service - Unified Cloud Storage (UCS) for solving the above-mentioned issues, and evaluate its performance by experiments.Item type:Item, wTutorOnline: A browser-based plugin free tutor online system(2015) ;Chang, Yuan ;Chou, Shing-Hua ;Tsai, Ching-Tsorng ;Chern, JohnYuan, Shyan-MingBesides of normal face-to-face learning, learners can use electrical resources to perform digital learning in educational area.
