Item type:Item, CFMS - A collaborative file management system on WWW(2000) ;Sheu, RK ;Cheng, MC ;Chang, YS ;Yuan, SMTsai, JThe increasing complexity and geographical separation of design data, tools and teams have demanded for a collaborative and distributed management environment. In this paper we present a practical system, the CFMS, which is designed to manage collaborative files on WWW. Wherever remote developers are, they can navigate the evolutions and relationships between target files, check in and check out them conveniently on web browsers using CFMS. The capabilities of CFMS include the two-level navigation mechanism for version selection, the relationship model that conceptually manages the relationships between physical files as well as the prefix-based naming scheme that can uniquely identify requested objects.Item type:Item, Generally applicable self-masked dry etching technique for nanotip array fabrication(2004-03-01) ;Hsu, CH ;Lo, HC ;Chen, CF ;Wu, CTHwang, JSWell-aligned nanotip arrays were fabricated by electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma process using gas mixtures of silane, methane, argon, and hydrogen. The resultant tips have nanoscale apexes (similar to1 nm) with high aspect ratios (similar to50), which were achieved by simultaneous SiC nanomask formation and dry etching during ECR plasma process. This technique was applied to a variety of substrates such as silicon, polycrystalline silicon, gallium nitride, gallium phosphide, sapphire, and aluminum, indicating its general applicability. High-resolutiontransmission electron microscopy and Auger depth profile analyses revealed that the SiC cap, with Si:C ratio of 1:1, exhibited 3C-SiC and 2H-SiC structure on Si and GaP, respectively, with heteroepitaxial relationship. This one-step self-masked dry etching technique enables the fabrication of uniform nanotip arrays on various substrates over large area at low process temperatures, thereby demonstrating a high potential for practical industrial application.Item type:Item, One-dimensional self-focusing in photorefractive Bi12SiO20 crystal: theoretical modeling and experimental demonstration(1999-04-15) ;Tsai, J ;Chiou, A ;Hsieh, TC ;Hsu, K電子物理學系We have experimentally demonstrated one-dimensional self-focusing of a laser beam in a photorefractive Bi12SiO20 (BSO) crystal with an externally applied DC field. Fractional change in focal length larger than 50% was measured when the biased field was varied from 2 kV/cm to 8 kV/cm. Based on the band transport model, thin crystal approximation, and gradient index (GRIN) lens approximation, we derive a mathematical expression that describes the effect quantitatively. The self-induced lens array in the FPMBS can increase the splitting ratio, which is generated by inserting a photorefractive crystal at the Rayleigh distance of the diffraction beam from each pixel. The filter in the optical correlator makes use of the multiple diffraction orders from the pixelated structure of the LCD panel. During the recording stage, each training pattern is sequentially recorded as a sub-filter at different diffracted order by holographic technology. After that, an input pattern could be simultaneously processed with all sub-filters in parallel such that the composite filter can be achieved. This recording method with spatial distribution could avoid the low efficiency of the conventional multi-exposure. The simulations and experimental results show that this system can perform invariant correlation as a composite filter. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
