Item type:Item, A transputer-based adaptive speed controller for AC induction motor drives with load torque estimation(1997-03-01) ;Tsai, MF ;Tzou, YY ;交大名義發表 ;電控工程研究所National Chiao Tung UniversityIn this paper, we design and implement an adaptive speed controller that can estimate load torque for ac induction motor drives employing a transputer-based parallel processing technique, The adaptive speed controller, which precedes the held-oriented control loop, consists of a two-degree-of-freedom controller and a feedforward load-torque compensator, The two-degree-of-freedom controller is designed by a pole-placement technique with polynomial manipulations. Its parameters are adjusted adaptively in terms of estimated model parameters, Estimating the model parameters entails a second-order least-squares estimator with constant trace to avoid estimator windup. The design of the feedforward compensator is based on an estimated load-torque model, Estimating the load torque entails a first-order least-squares estimator with variable forgetting factor and covariance resetting, the purposes of which are to detect any slow or sudden changes of torque disturbance, respectively. The resulting adaptive controller is implemented in parallel by IMS T800-20 transputers, Experimental results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed control method in contending with varying load and torque disturbance.Item type:Item, A transputer-based parallel controller for motor control applications(1997-10-01) ;Tsai, MF ;Tzou, YY ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringThis paper presents the design and implementation of a parallel controller based on the transputers IMS T800-20 for high-performance motor control applications. A unified controller architecture comprising transputer-based parallel computing boards and input/output boards suitable for the real-time control of various types of motor drives is proposed. The system can increase its computing and input/output processing capability by paralleling these boards. A host server based on a personal computer for user interface is also developed. To demonstrate the system's capability, we have applied the system to the fully digital adaptive control of an AC induction servo motor. The control functions can be easily implemented in parallel by using the high-level programming language Occam. The comparison with two existing parallel controllers also shows the performance and architectural features of the system. The adaptive current controller, which operates in the stationary two-axis frame to provide the persistently exciting condition for parameter estimation convergence, consists of an one-step-ahead predictive controller and a model estimator. The predictive controller's parameters are adjusted adaptively on line in terms of estimated model parameters. Estimating the model parameters entails a first-order four-dimensional least-squares estimator with exponential data weighting to detect the variations of the motor parameters and the back emf. The proposed adaptive control scheme is implemented in parallel by IMS T800-20 transputers. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive current control scheme.Item type:Item, An agent-based system to discover protein-protein interactions, identify protein complexes and proteins with multiple peptide mass fingerprints(2006-07-15) ;Lee, TY ;Horng, JT ;Juan, HF ;Huang, HDWu, LCProteins "work together" by actually binding to form multicomponent complexes that carry out specific functions. Proteomic analyses based on the mass spectrum are now key methods to determine the components in protein complexes. The protein-protein interaction or functional association may be known to exist among the extracted protein spots while analyzing the proteins on the 2D gel. In this study, we develop an agent-based system, namely AgentMultiProtIdent, which integrated two protein identification tools and a variety of databases storing relations among proteins and used to discover protein-protein interactions and protein functional associations, and identify protein complexes and proteins with multiple peptide mass fingerprints as input. The system takes Multiple Peptide Mass Fingerprints (PMFs) as a whole in the protein complex or protein identification. With the relations among proteins, it may greatly improve the accuracy of identification of protein complexes. Also, possible relationship of the multiple peptide mass fingerprints, such as ontology relation, can be discovered by our system, especially in the identification of protein complexes.Item type:Item, Design and implementation of a real-time identification system using parallel processing technique for adaptive control of a DC motor drive(1995) ;Tsai, MF ;Tzou, YY ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringItem type:Item, Dual DSP based fully digital control of an AC induction motor(1996) ;Tzou, YY ;Tsai, MF ;Lin, YF ;Wu, H電控工程研究所
