Item type:Item, Does Image Matter to Different Job Applicants? The influences of corporate image and applicant individual differences on organizational attractiveness(2010-03-01) ;Tsai, Wei-Chi ;Yang, Irene Wen-Fen ;經營管理研究所Institute of Business and ManagementThis research examined both the effects of various corporate image dimensions on organizational attractiveness and the moderating effects of applicant individual difference variables on the aforementioned relationships. Two studies were conducted for this research, which involved 40 bank samples and 360 student participants (Study 1) and 538 employee-student mixed samples (Study 2). By implementing different research designs, samples, and industry targets in the two studies, we found that corporate product image, corporate citizenship image, and corporate credibility image were important antecedents to organizational attractiveness. One of the proposed applicant individual difference variables, environmental sensitivity, was found to moderate the relationship between corporate citizenship image and organizational attractiveness.Item type:Item, Laser emissions from one-dimensional photonic crystal rings on silicon-dioxide(2013-02-04) ;Lu, Tsan-Wen ;Tsai, Wei-Chi ;Wu, Tze-Yao ;Lee, Po-Tsung光電工程學系In this report, we design and utilize one-dimensional photonic crystal ring resonators (1D PhCRRs) to realize InGaAsP/SiO2 hybrid lasers via adhesive bonding technique. Single-mode lasing with low threshold from the dielectric mode is observed. To further design a nanocavity with mode gap effect in 1D PhCRR results in the reduced lasing threshold and increased vertical laser emissions, owing to the reduced dielectric mode volume and the broken rotational symmetry by the nanocavity. Such hybrid lasers based on 1D PhC rings provides good geometric integration ability and new scenario for designing versatile devices in photonic integrated circuits. Low threshold single-mode lasing properties are investigated and further altered via inducing a nanocavity.Item type:Item, The Effects of Applicant Resume Contents on Recruiters' Hiring Recommendations: The Mediating Roles of Recruiter Fit Perceptions(2011-04-01) ;Tsai, Wei-Chi ;Chi, Nai-Wen ;Huang, Tun-Chun ;Hsu, Ai-Ju交大名義發表The resume is the most commonly used selection tool for organisations. Past studies have demonstrated that recruiter hiring recommendations can be predicted based on the content of applicant resumes. However, the mechanisms underlying the links between resume contents and hiring recommendations remain unclear. The present study extends previous research by examining the mediating roles of recruiters' multi-faceted fit perceptions in a field setting. Data were collected from 216 organisational recruiters who participated in campus recruitment at seven universities in Taiwan. The results showed that applicant work experience and educational background increased recruiter hiring recommendations through recruiter perceived person-job (P-J) fit. In addition, applicant work experience predicted recruiter perceived person-organisation (P-O) fit, which in turn enhanced recruiter hiring recommendations.
