Item type:Item, An RFID-Based Manufacturing Control Framework for Loosely Coupled Distributed Manufacturing System Supporting Mass Customization(2008-12-01) ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Tsai, Yung-Shun ;Tu, Arthur ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceIn this study we propose a Manufacturing control framework based on radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology and a distributed information system to construct a mass-customization production process in a loosely coupled shop-floor control environment. On the basis of this framework. we developed RFID middleware and in integrated information system for tracking and controlling the manufacturing process flow. A bicycle Manufacturer was used to demonstrate the prototype system. The findings of this study were that the proposed framework can improve the visibility and traceability of the manufacturing process as well as enhance process quality control and real-time production pedigree access. Using this framework, an enterprise can easily integrate an RFID-based system into its manufacturing environment to facilitate mass customization and a just-in-time production model.Item type:Item, Design and implementation of an intelligent manufacturing execution system for semiconductor manufacturing industry(2006) ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Tsai, Yung-Shun ;Chang, Chan-Chine ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceThis paper proposed an intelligent MES by integrating manufacturing execution system, data warehouse, online analytical processing and data mining system. The data warehouse for this system is provided by the massive amounts of data gathered from a MES. Through some process of integrating MES with data warehouses, data warehouses with decision analysis, and decision analysis with data mining systems. A three-tiered web-based systematic framework has been established. The result of this study is the integration of the MES and data mining system. According to experimental analysis, the product yield and the manufacturing cycle time all have been improved for manufacturing industry.Item type:Item, Using data mining to provide recommendation service(2007-01-01) ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Tsai, Yung-Shun ;Yeh, K. C. ;Sun, Chia-MingYu, D. H.This research introduces personalized recommendation service into library services. Using the borrowing record of the library as basis, the association rules of data mining technique are used to look for book association by focusing on reader's borrowing mode, personal interest and trait in order to simplify the complexity of recommendation structure. The Bayesian network concept is used to build up a personalized book recommender system in order to generate different book recommendations, ranking from high to low, to help reader to locate book information most suitable to his requirement. Meanwhile we use user satisfaction questionnaire to understand the accuracy of recommended books and further to feedback information in order to help the post learning of Bayesian network parameter. This is for the perfection of the overall structure of recommender system so that readers could make use of the resource of the library more effectively and the value of the library system could be further improved.Item type:Item, Using policy-based MPLS management architecture to improve QoS on IP network(2007-01-01) ;Chen, Ruey-Shun ;Tsai, Yung-Shun ;Yeh, K. C. ;Sun, Chia-MingChen, H. Y.Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is in the process of standardization by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). It is regarded as a technology for traffic engineering and QoS in IP-networks. We proposed an IETF Policy-based Network Management Framework and policies with MPLS specific classes. It uses a three-level policy architecture, which includes managing on device, network, and service level using policies for supporting Inter-serve and Diff-serve based end-to-end QoS in the Internet. A prototyping of policy-based management system for MPLS Traffic Engineering is operating on MPLS network elements. Several experiments illustrate the efficiency and feasibility in this architecture. The results show it can reduce the time of the setup of MPLS traffic engineering tunnel over hops and MPLS traffic engineering tunnel deletion. The proposed integrated policy based management architecture will allow network service providers to offer both quantitative and qualitative services while optimizing the use of underlying network resources.
